In this video we discuss what is pre-diabetes and more importantly what is the significant of pre-diabetes.
Pre-diabetes is diagnosed when the fasting blood glucose levels are between 100 to 125 mg/dL, whereas, diabetes is diagnosed when the fasting blood glucose levels are more than 126 mg/dL.
Patients who are at risk of developing pre-diabetes are:
1. Patients who are more than 45 years old
2. Patients having poly cystic ovaries
3. Patients having high blood pressure and high cholestrol
4. Obese or over weight patients
5. Patients with family history of diabets
