I am currently building a Paladin, and I will mold him similar to yours but with modifications to gear as I am also playing self found. I play Hardcore players 8. I have several characters over level 90 now. My main MFinder is my level 94 Sorc at 454% MF. I have never found a Crown of Ages, nor an Azurewrath. I will likely use the Grief I made for weapon. I like the post by another of using lawbringer on Act 5 merc.

Pretty. Nutty gear. Hey I need some advice. I've finished nightmare and I'm at a point where I can't get anything good in nightmare and I can't pass hell act 1. What should I do?

Well, I'm not totally sure what you mean by "can't get anything good" or what your current gear is, but I can offer a few pointers based on my experience. First, for damage, the number one most important thing is crushing blow. I would look into the runeword "black," which offers some great stats. Guillaumes helm is a very good option which can be found in nightmare (I think it's like a 1/700 chance on nm meph if you have decent mf). Goblin toes are very useful and not too hard to find. Idk if you've done forge yet or what your resources are, but duress is a great choice for armor. Otherwise, there are many options, even cheaper ones that are good. Crow caw is good. Try for decent defense. Resistances are also important. A rhyme shield is probably your best bet for a really great, cheap shield. Moser's is also good. Rockstopper helm is great. Lava gout gloves are great for AR + fire res. String of ears is a very good option for your belt, ll + dr. Should be able to find a ravs (other wise angelics can be good). All this can be found in nightmare without too much difficulty, and you should be able to advance in to hell mode with it. Pits are a good area to run when you're undergeared. Also Ancient Tunnels in Act 2.

hello, you got very nice gear and it seems that you have spend very long time to complete that. i have been playing zealer paladin for a long time too but many of your items havent dropped while i am playing. may i ask you where did u drop azurewrath, crown of ages and guillaumes face. I have 320 mf and the best thing dropped so far is demon limb. I wonder how did u collect the gems for exile, chains of honor and call to arms. I have been farming countess for that but the best rune dropped so far is ist rune. i will be thankful for your advice. thanks in advance.

Yeah, so, I have had this character for a long time, a couple of years. Originally I beat hell mode on this guy with a kingslayer sword, i think a rhyme shield, a duress, and other much "cheaper" (more easily found) gear. The way I've got all the high runes and the azurewrath/crown of ages on my zealer is that I have a 3rd party muling software. So, I magic find on my hammerdin (I have a video up of my hammerdin doing a full MF run) and I transfer those items over to my other characters. If you are magic finding on your zealer, even if you have high MF the fact is that you will kill enemies at a much slower rate than if you were to magic find some other way. So, basically, I have found these items my doing many many MF runs on my hammerdin (with some 400+ MF). It took a loooong time to find crown of ages (from the pit) and azurewrath (from hell baal), and all the other high runes required for exile/chains of honor. For instance, if you take a look at drop calculators, some of these items will drop, say, about once per every 40,000+ elite packs you kill in Hell. To get them, you must kill 40,000+ elite packs with high mf. If you're going to do that in any reasonable amount of time, you're going to need to MF using a character that has teleport and high damage. The most practical way of doing this with cheap-o gear would be a sorceress, then maybe a hammerdin once you find jah/ber. The high runes drop mostly in Act 4/5 or hell cows. I did pit runs til I was level 90 on my zealer when I first got into hell and, similar to your situation, the highest rune I ever found was a Gul. Not great. So believe me I've been there. One thing I would take a look at is this drop calculator: dropcalc.silospen.com/item.php. Plug in your MF and the item you want to find, and target your magic finding to where you are most likely to find the item (I remember doing probably 700+ nm meph runs to get guillaumes that first time). So, overall my recommendation would be that you (1) get a muling solution like PlugY or GoMule, and (2) Build a blizz sorceress and do Ancient Tunnel/Pindle/Hell Meph runs. There are guides all over the place for this stuff.

Looks awesome. Tell us how you found all of those high runes! A Ber rune has a .0002% chance to drop on Hell Duriel, which is the best chance of any single monster in the game. It only gets worse from there. You have COH, CTA and Exile which would require an astronomical amount of luck for 1 person. Lottery winning luck. How did you do it?

It's not as hard or as uncommon as you might think. I have a video called "how i find stuff in single player," it's not so complicated. But yeah I did play quite a lot, also this is accumulated over on-and-off paying for a few years. I mf on my hammerdin and xfer over using GoMule. And it's much more efficient to ignore act bosses when looking for high runes and just focus on monsters. Most of my hrs I found off normal monsters, sometimes from elite packs.

The fact is, you would need to kill 10 thousand high mlvl creeps to maybe find one high rune. I'm not saying you cheated, but I'm saying I'm dumbfounded by the luck and time investment.

@@fliperotchy if you think this is crazy watch dbrunskis stream he has found like 15 jahs in like the last 3 years. All live streamed You can increase player settings in single player which dramatically increases your chances and best chance for high runes is actually lower kurast chests. I don't personally know the tune drop chance for duriel but rune drop chances have been improved sense 1.09

Only good with solo monsters are a piss in the ass in a long run. Usefully myself, like easily is better than finding gold or free money in your house. Pretty much the build are good in some way but the experience are hardness to get in some way ?

you dont need life tap. amplifiy damage is much better ,kills baal in 10 seconds or something. tap is best for auradin or smitter

Yeah honestly i never expected to find as many HRs as I have.. i used to play battlenet a lot and NEVER found one. But on SP i've found a bunch.. I have a vid up of the standard MF run I do, but in brief I find them mostly in act 5, sometimes in chaos sanctuary or cows. The three ice dungeons (frozen river, icy cellar, ??? forget 3rd oops) and worldstone keep seem to be especially good. I try to go where ghost monster spawn (like souls and wraiths) b/c they have a much higher chance to drop runes, like 3x more often than other monsters I think.

in my experience raven frost is pretty dang easy to find and I usually end up with one someway or another before leaving nightmare mode. Usually I farm meph, baal, sometimes diablo and i'll usually get one. Gore riders, on the other hand, take a hell of a lot longer to find in my experience. If you google "diablo 2 drop calc" you can use the silopen thing and check it out.

Hell Mephisto can drop tons of usefull stuff: Highlords, Gores, Verdungos, Ravenfrost, Reapers Toll and he is easy to kill with lifetap wand+crushing blow+smite, one point in smite is more than enough.

@@smenkinsa What? Nope. Singleplayer has ladder only uniques and ladder only recepies also work with the horadric cube, but there are NO ladder only runeswords, if you want that (and über quests) then you have to mod your D2.

pretty sure they increased the rune drop rate in 1.13. I used to play a bunch before 1.13 and never found even 1 hr. In any case, my gear is self-found, and i just don't have much of an interest in creating fake runes and then deceiving a couple thousand people on youtube... personally, that's not how i get my kicks. I like to play the game legit (or pretty legit, as i do use a muling program).

Your so dumb lol you obviously don't play that much. Unless you haven't updated your diablo in 10 years that simply isn't possible. If you do lower kurast runs for 5 hours a day you have about a 80% chance to find a hr in a few days. Like Lo or higher. Look at any other d2 streamer krugger probably has the least amount of hrs out of every d2 youtuber out there. Dbrunski has found like 15 jahs alone in the last 2 years all live streamed.
