Weird ask. Could you do a vid on Iron golem? Like what causes them to bug out and dissappear. Best items to make them with like cheap insights What are the best throwaway items to make them with. Like is the Crushing blow from IK maul worth it, or do they never hit anything and just go with clay. If you find an item with slow/blind /freeze is it worth it over clay. Thanks for reading!

Stormlash is the strongest one handed mace in the game and Windhammer is strongest 2 handed by far, both S+ on Shapers as a long time Bear/Wolf player. Just about closed browser when you were gonna put it A… like wtf it’s 100 times better than the other ones, and it doesn’t seem like you consider attack fps when you give these slow weapons these scores.

Ctc tornado synergies with your elemental skill tree so you’re a shifter with max cyclone armor and you can cast all the other windy skills. Ctc static field. Insane damage. Crushing blow. Lightning damage. It’s the best weapon in the whole game. Add a destruction pole to your merc, one point in summons and you can trigger almost every single Druid skill with one character. I like earth shifter on switch for my singer barb. Waste of elemental skills but mine is 300 Ed and berserk synergies with howl.

The problem I have with any of these videos is he compares all of them to the best runewords equivalent. Like how's this item compared to grief or how's this armor compared to coh or enigma etc. How's this wand compared to dual spirit.

Astreon totally underrated. Clearly an S. It adds MAGIC DAMAGE. Monsters do not have basic resistance against magic damage in hell, hence magic damage is the most preferable kind of damage. It also has Crushing Blow, + "Grief kind" damage. It is better than heaven's light because it has also CB but also the Magic Damage. It combines the strengths of the two other elite Pally scepters and adds magic damage on top. Knellstrike is easy to find. The thing is that nobody clears Act 1 normal with 500 MF ;). And damn I love these videos ;).

Astreon's is actually a pretty good uber smiter weapon with it's combination of flat damage and CB. I actually remember reading some calculations on d2jsp, that it is faster than both Grief and Last Wish (obviously depends on the rest of the setup too). Did not really care to verify, but it actually made decent sense. It also has +4 combat skills, making it great for hybrid smiter/hammer build. Also it is one of the 3 items I miss from my holy grail :( Another thing is both the Redeemer and Astreon's have damage displayed like grief, making a perfect Redeemer dmg 280-328 and Astreon's 229-252. That puts most unique one handers to shame easily.

Heaven's Light if it rolls with +3 to skills and 2 sockets is great. I would even move it further to the left on the S tier. If you happen to roll it ethereal and drop a Zod there and a skull for double leech you can have an amazing zealot weapon. Really top tier.

I can't believe you put Bloodtree Stump below Bonesnap and Windhammer. IMO Stump is the OG, all res, great CB, slightly less damage and slower but still insanely solid as a stat stick and those +Masteries skills on the Barb, only char you would use that on really is just great. That or a Druid I guess but still.

Bonesnap S tier? On maybe ww barb. Damage is nice yea but the attack speed... Just image 120 monsters attacking you and you slowly swing to each od them with your barb or shapeshifter. Discussing

Yeah. Druids use all the 2h hammers faster than other classes iirc. Huge difference. I mean, if clear speed is important to you, you probably shouldn't even be playing melee. No real difference between a zealot killing three mobs in nine super fast zeal swings and a barb killing three mobs in three slow swings. Just the illusion that the zealot is clearing faster. A fury wolfie with an upped Bonesnap or that Cranium will make both look like amateur hour. God tier runewords are the only chance of beating it out.

Just been going through these old videos, loving all of it. Earthshaker can be good for a while since druids get an IAS bonus with mace class weapons so I would possibly bump it into low A/high B tier, but only for druids obviously. Been using it and I'm on Hell Act 5 with my character.

Civerb's Cudgel, the level 9 set sceptre, is very good at low levels. All it does it a lot of damage but it does a LOT of damage at level 9.

The cranium is really good, you build around it but it's amazing how practical it is. Cranium+Andy visage+enigma for STR and 35% FAS, gores for 90%, do any content.

All the big 2h hammers just need +str gear focus and they wreck. Llama is a speedrunner to the marrow so his valuations are all kinda plug and play or bust. Low requirements is a huge thing for him. Other people are like "I'll just get some +str large charms, Andys or Veil of Steel and a Tgods belt." You can use the high end hammers with only 150 str hardpoints and it isn't like the +str gear is a deal breaker since some other bonuses are awesome for melee chars.

@@kickit246 the werewolf tends to be better for the attack speed compared to the bear but fire claw bear is viable too you just need to get attack speed whenever possible, it will do more damage per hit but a fair bit less overall dps than a wolf, a bow merc with fanaticism helps a lot

Ironstone is good for zealer, at the point in which you can find it it basically out damages every other 1 hander and will take you a decent ways into nightmare.

@@galdersrontgorrth Yes, true. Non eth with Ber is what I use. The assassin kicks 6.57 times per second, so it really kills fast. The Static Field with Death Sentry or Dragon Tail (4 yard AOE kick) really work well together.

There's a Dbrunski build for Earth Shifter which is a Fury/Armageddon hybrid actually, with maxed synergies for Fissure that proc from hammer. Fire Claw won't get any synergies from +7 skills.

Knockback greatly reduces kill speed and interrupts the flow of attacks in return for a little bit of safety. It is great on a bow though.

Just what kind of character class, are you using to look up the mace class weapons, because all maces seem to have slow attack speed, that would be ok for necros, or sorcs, because they son't need attack speed. But you should look at those weapons, with the correct character class, to get the correct attack speed, it is different for all classes.

I used Felloak on a frenzy barb in act 2 as my off hand weapon just for the lit res. It made the beetles easy so it was worth it for that.

Bloodrise is actually pretty decent in Normal. Open wounds is like busted in normal. You get the life leech too. It's at least as good as steel.

Astreons is soooooooo nice I have only got one in my 20 years of playing D2 but the one I have is ethereal and perfect well for as many stats that can change it's as close to perfect that I'm comfortable in looking for never seen one better. And honest to God I used it on my zealer and my zealer on legacy id say right now even is probably better than anyone I know and astreons ward works really really good

Anyone have a good reference for what your damage-per-level should be? Llama keeps categorizing some weapons as low damage for their lv restrictions and I'm not seeing the correlation

It depends on the type of character you're building and how you decide to play the character, the items you can find (or trade for on MP). There's no reference or guide for that, especially if you decide to build a character in a unique way. However, for a physical damage melee character, if you're not able to either kill most regular monsters within 2-3 hits or stay alive while tanking them and wearing them down, you may need to either modify how you built the character (stats/skills) or really start looking for better gear. High strength builds are going to rely heavily on high damage output and leech to stay alive, and they can be very tough to play. A lot of people prefer going for the barest minimum in strength so they can buff their vitality and/or dex for blocking. One of my favorite characters is a titan concentrate barb - all strength, it's a glass cannon. But it's damage output meant I was 1 hit killing most things by the time I was in NM and through most of hell difficulty. No AoE damage though, so getting mobbed was a death sentence. It takes very careful play.

I found a +3 to pally Heaven's light and nearly shat myself... I have a shocking pally... soooo much more dmg... especially when you put in more ignore enemy armor on it.. hit nearly every swing and doing 1-7k electric + 300-500 dmg from the mace itself per hit with about 1100 just regular shocking randomly. Not the best build so I am going to make a zealot to build around this wep.

Nord is b tier, demon limb at least A tier, Baranar>demon>nord , Earth shifter and Cranium both S tier worth the stat investment, great chase items to build around, you havnt tried them properly. A stick with 60 light res is not worth B+ you say great against the bugs in act 2, when your total damage is the amount of colourful language you can shout at them? xD Astreon is S tier. Steeldriver and Bonesnap A tier as they are far worse in hell than many uniques youve thrown into C/D tiers even upgraded. You should reserve S tier for endgame usefulness

So funny to me hearing you complain about the str requirements on some of these items - my Titan Concentrate barb could have dual wielded thunder mauls...😂 1.09 really allowed for some different builds, now everything is meta or near worthless.
