Crazy run man! Ist Tal's Ammy, and Jah, that's awesome! Slow slog on that Vengeance though. I guess Vengeance really needs GG gear to be good, and shine. Nice to see people just enjoying the game. Still loving D2 after all these years!

WarTravs actually do work with Vengeance. For some reason, the added damage on non-weapons is treated as +Min/Max even though it doesn't read that way.

In my opinion, I find this to be your most impressive run. Because I just cleared hell solo self found zeal paladin, and I don’t know how you survive with little life leech and one target at a time with vengeance. I even have lawbringer for merc for decrepify curse for safety and damage. Cheers.

Thank you for the kind words. Well you already said it. I just went one target at a time. Just pull them 1 by 1. A Guardian Zealot is no slouch either. That is a hard run

Wow brutal run. I love solo Hardcore D2R as well. It must be hard to just single click every enemy. I also want to do melee builds since I found spellcaster builds too easy but too fragile. I hope someday you do a Werebear run or fire claw bear Armagedón run. Anything werebear. I look forward to more videos. Cheers.

I started a bit after LoD came out. I spent years doing SC on battlenet but I ended up going single player for mods and randomizers and such and never looked back. Glad you like it!

Awesome run, after having failed this on a few times myself I think patience is the key which you’ve shown with all the grinding… inspiring, I’ll try to pick that one up again and finish the run this time as well! By the way I nearly did it last time and was using a few points in conversion as crowd control still and that was surprisingly effective. Finally… that Jah drop…

Yeah with a build like this you basically need to assume that every waypoint is going to take 30 minutes and play accordingly. Good luck on your run. Jah that was insane. You can even see me just standing there being like excuse you? What did you just drop?

Interesting choice of build. The coincidence that I run Vengeance in this ladder, but SC. I love it. No monster is immune to you 🙂. Only downside is that it requires a lot of expensive items to get the top effectiveness out of the build.

I thought a cleansing avenger would be an interesting build to try. The idea is to max prayer, vengeance, and the resistance auras. Use insight staff as your weapon, and run cleansing aura. Since staffs have low requirements, you can put almost all your points into vit.

Added it to the list of things to try. No promises on when though, I'm super backlogged on everything on the channel right now. I have multiple runs / games stockpiled to edit and d4 comes out tuesday which I really wanna play as well.

Really nice video! Demon Limb was such a clutch find! Why not Hearth (Shael-Io-Thul) though on the headgear? Mad Cold Res and Cannot Be Frozen could help out a lot IMO.

Wartravs would have been amazing on other builds. But the damage not working with vengeance really hampers them here

Haha it was funny when you kept saying "on Normal, Act 1" regards almost dying. A tip (not that you need it) what I do on single player is run Players 8, equip javelins, run Corpsefire twice to get to around level 8, move onto Rakanishu and run him until level 15. Switch back to players 1 until I hit spots like Dark Elder and eventually Battlemaid which will help to get to level 28 or so. Again the same against Eldritch and Pindle etc. With Baal waves eventually you can easily hit level 50 just from Normal 😃

I just run to the countess and farm till 12-15 there and then go 25 somewhere before act 5 so I keep getting exp. By lvl 50 I want to be at the end of nightmare though not the end of normal :) Glad you like the video :)

All you need to do is shop a "fools" weapon in A5. Becomes available at level 43. It will get you all the way through nightmare with 0 issues, while also fully resolving any issues with attack rating. Amn+tir in the fastest two socket weapon you can find for boses on switch. Additionally, when using the elemental damage auras, your weapon damage doesn't matter as much as your attack speed. The whole point is to get to your 3 frame zeal, which will have you putting out more elemental damage than a sorc with those auras. Vengeance isn't good until waaaaaaay later due to it being too mana hungry to use. 1 point holy shield will also get you to max block which works against diablos lightning as well (its one of the only spells that can be blocked in the game). Use ort+sol for +skill +lightning resist helm.

At lvl 43 I want to be done with nightmare or very far into it. Not just able to start it. Amn+tir on switch would have been good. I forgot about that. Going zeal instead of vengeance makes it a zeal run instead of a vengeance run. I know it's better but it's a different run. I don't get your diablo comment. There is no way your surviving his lightning if you try to tank it and lvl 1 holy shield does nothing for you. Getting a lore before diablo normal is also a very big ask. I'm not even sure you can find a sol at that point.

@thenuclearrabbit you can find up to shael in normal. The ancient tunnels are the best place to fam sol shael, particularly the second map zone with snapchip shatter. While I appreciate the sentiment -- the reason why it takes you three times longer is because its not optimal. Even an "avenger" run you should start zeal because of its advantages and then transition. Its like saying you're not going to use static on a sorceress because you're playing frost orb, while meanwhile also ignoring that precludes you from using every other skill til 30. Think at how you were plenty fine with using smite to get your crushing blows off -- its the same thing. Smite is just static for the Paladin. Additionally, on being well into nightmare: that's what is making it kick your ass so hard and making your runs take longer than they should. Think about all the time wasted on running circles and savequit scumming you'd avoid. Its an opportunity cost.

It's slow af since you don't have any complementary abilities to use (like a Necro supporting his pets with CE) but your pets are very strong so the wait isn't awful. Also the fastest Hell Ancients kill I've ever done - stood around for about 15 seconds doing nothing and the fight was over. I was shocked! 🤣

Nah it's the same. I just play a lot. just keep playing and you will end up finding runes.
