Shape shifting Druid was the first class I ever played, and even though I don't think I ever beat Hell with it, it was enough to get me addicted to Diablo 2 for years. Now it's been half a decade since I've played and after finding your channel I'm hooked all over again, and can't wait to get home to play more. I'm taking my new Druid through Hell right now (though, he is Elemental this time) Thank you Mr Llama!

MrLlamaSC a mauler is one of my favorite builds, he is just so heavily item dependent, i have a malice equipped, and plan on upgrading to a black soom for the increased attack speed, but thats in another 11 levels and when i can farm NM countess for better runes..... point of all this, is me asking is there a mob or boss i can farm in normal that would give me a decent weapon with increased attack speed that you could reccomend?

Btw, Alex - did you know that the werebear form has a unique way of calculating your attack speed? It ONLY takes your main weapon's base attack speed and any IAS-modifiers on that weapon. That's why I mostly play with a 6xShael Phase Blade on my bear builds and rely on the rest of my equipment, skills and merc for damage. It's an hilarious build since you attack as fast as a Zealer, but in a much more controled way :D

You should use shockwave more, my friend! It gains 0.4 sec stun per lvl, and you should treat it like the druids version of static field - get it to lvl ~8 or so and start all your encounters by casting it 2-3 times

static field does dmg though. The stun is nice but man the dmg was not that great...

I feel like a Shockwave druid might actually be stronger.. If you think about the amount of skillpoints you need for the Fire Claw to be worth it (By virtue of it being a solo attack, and not an AoE).. Since it's base damage is fair, in normal, but to get it high enough you need to start investing quite a few points into the Elemental tree (And given that it has 4 synergies, or w-ever xD That is a lot of points). Compared to Shockwave druid that requires 40 points to max out both the skill itself, and its syngergy. Leaving you plenty of points for Lycanthrope and Warebear. (This only makes sense if the damage on Warebear affects Shockwave ^_^)

Yeah but I think the shockwave damage just isn't high enough...idk maybe it was! It was hard to really gauge but I would need to test it more

Blunt club weapon (not a flail) gives an extra attack speed to bear and werewolf. Dunno if that's a glitch or a game bug, but pretty sure its used to be this way.

You need Rib Cracker on this Bear. (Tooo Bad is On normal) You need like a faster weapon and some Wolves. And Wolverine Spirit for AR and damage. I have one on nigthmare is so painfull to play LoL. 20 Wolverine S 20 Diré Wolf 20 Maul for The moment

The worst skill in the game is not -contrary to popular belief- psychic hammer. It's Blade Sentinel. Got to love that full second of missile next delay for only 3/8 of a one handed weapon damage :p At least with pyschic hammer you can kb ennemies into a fire... but BS litterally cuts party dps by a huge amount. Seriously. Drop one on a boss and the boss becomes invulnerable to missiles :D Though, it is possible to finish normal with Blade Sentinel and Venom... It's not even that painful... just tedious.

​@@jukeswolfy2593 but 10,5 hours is the time for Normal and Nightmare, and on top of that he didn't optimize well (reliance on Shockwave + Armageddon, low IAS, low Fireclaws skill). Nightmare can be done in a breeze with this character even when solo self-found. My own werebear fought with a simple dagger bought off Fara with +40% IAS on it because the natural fire damage on his hands was self-sufficient.
