Love these untwinked playthroughts, imo this is what the game is really about, especially with a melee build. It really tests your knowledge and patience :D Remember doing norm cow king runs for a day, then rakanishu dropped the belt, of course.

Easily one of my favorite characters! Those elemental claws can be devastating! Especially with facets, ormus, flickering flame even maybe nowadays. Tons of stuff and high skills + elemental damage are insane! Great video

I heard something about the fire damage from dragon tail make enemy double resist your damage... For instance, enemy with physical immunity will not take any damage from dragon tail because the fire damage goes through fire resist as well enemy resist. I don't know how exactly does the bug work... but I think it's a good idea to test if there is a damage difference between finishing with dragon claw vs dragon tail. If dragon tail is bugged for phenix strike like that, you will lose a lot of damage.

Dragon Tail works this way: You Kick deals physical damage to a single enemy lets say 100. Based of that physical hit the explosion deals fire damage in 4 yards. lets say you have 400% dragon tail, then the explosion will deal 400 damage based on the kick. When an enemy now resists physical damage with 50% your kick deals 50 damage and the explosion will deal 200. if the same enemy is also immune to fire damage, he will only suffer the 50 kick damage but not the explosion damage. So you get hurt by 2 resistances, but can also benefit of that, if an enemy is below 0 resistance. So like a bit "harder" with early gear, but completely nuts with Endgame gear, especially with the new sunder charms. Take physical and Fire charm, put on lacerator for amp, forti and phoenix for big damage boost and - fire res and infinity on merc for - fire res and - armor and you will probably one hit every non Boss mob in the game.

Without high damage boots (which also means high investment in strength) and high lvl Tiger Strike the damage from Dragon Tail is irrelevant anyway. In order to unload Phoenix Strike charges faster, Dragon Claw or Talon would be much better.

So i took this build by giving him angelic amulet and 2 rings and decided to go p8 as far as i can. so far i reached nightmare act4 river of flame and am still going through with no issues. I even do act bosses on p8. I got lucky with some drops doing cows and i got many good items along the way. i am lvl 68 currently.

What is your general mouse life expectancy for the mouse buttons just not dissolving considering you click to move to that extent? How many mice do you go through generally Llama because I gotta say, that 700 clicks to move 3 feet, man that has to destroy your mice.

Hey MrLlama, would you have an order/tier list for the "Cannot be Frozen" items on this build? I'm debating farming Death's Disguise set or just slapping on Hawkmail instead of Stealth until I find something better.

Kick as finisher for a phoenix/elemental MA is a bit weak option DPS wise due to how slow it is. The most dps option is ....... normal attack with decent amount of AR. This is the fastest way to output tons of damage especially if you just cycle 2x phoenix strike -> attack -> 2x phoenix strike - attack -> ... Or even PStrike -> Attack pattern because the AoE fire from 1st charge of PS is sstacking to insane damage - it has no cast delay like Sorcs meteor so with decent IAS your attacks are 7fps - it's more than 1.5 meteors per second, so in 2 you will do ~15k per second by DoT plus 15k as raw fire damage in AoE. Add 2 more seconds and your DoT will tick 30k/sec. Versus bosses this is stacking absurdly fast especially if we keep in mind that fire from PS meteors lasts about 15 seconds - it's pretty fasts going into 100k+ damage per second.

You can mouse over the value of your str/dex/vit/energy in your character screen, so you can see the "base value" instead of calculating what stat your items give you. @MrLlamaSc

I've played Phoenix strike a couple times to level 55 or so. The way you do it is you get 12 points in Dragon Talon to get 3 kicks, and then you use that to release all 3 of your Phoenix Strikes at once. It's a real spectacle.

the most efficient way for damage would be dragon claw, because the Meteor sucks anyway...you can even skip the fire damage in late game completely and better invest the points from fists of fire into shadow master, who really got a big boost with the changes to the ma skills.

That’s extremely inefficient, the cold bit has basically no damage. You’d better just stick with dragon claw and 2 charges of phoenix strike

Im currently leveling a ssf hc MA assassin. Lv 41 and my chance to hit is around 80%. I was using DC but once i got to nm i switched to pattern/rhyme and using kick. I have 93dex atm and hsarus belt and boots and i miss so often. I evenly split my fire/light/cold charge skills(8/7/7)and have 12 into PS. When i hit its great and stuff dies but was i supposed to pump up a finisher or claw mastery though that would seem like a waste.

Almost certainly dragon claw in order to trigger two of the charges at once like he had been. That'd make every finisher do ice and lightning AoE damage if he had a phoenix strike fully charged up. Then it's a matter of attacking once to replace those two charges (assuming both attacks hit) and finisher again, alternating phoenix and dragon claw to do a significant amount of dual element damage to groups pretty quickly. If he didn't need the shield for cannot be frozen and resistances in the higher difficulties, he'd likely have continued with dual claws. I checked the wiki and 2.4 changelog (when they revamped martial arts) and neither mention dragon claw's ability to activate two finishers at once. The wiki says it only uses one charge but Llama clearly showed in this video and the previous one that it uses two and gains the effects from both charges. It's possible this is a bug, but was left in since martial arts assassin is already a weaker build in a lesser used class.

Just booted up D2R and somehow all my Hell MF characters I tried (3 so far) all do not drop any items from any monsters(SP). My pitzerker I recently dumped a bunch of time in to build up and level up, my level 94 blizz sorc, and I'm assuming more. This is baffling to me, how can it just break like that! A level 29 paladin I made to eventually do ubers is fine and things drop like normal but that's one of the character that it doesn't matter as much. I guess if it is still broken tomorrow I'll copy the save files and then reinstall the entire game. If all my best character save files are somehow broken I may just be done with the game for a long time. That's a lot of grinding to get characters that leveled again. Even if I can port over all the items to different characters I'd have to level characters to do so. Sheesh. My two main MF characters seem to be affected; chests work fine but killing enemies results in nothing, no items whatsoever drop, gold, potions, nothing. I may just create two hero edited characters then port over all their items. Really bugs me though. No idea why this would happen. If I get fed up with it I guess I could go play some grim dawn instead or something.

MrLlama, you know one of my Monitors is running YT Diablo Content so I more than often HAVE TO listen to your presentations. One thing I dont understand, SoftCore. It aint too late to Become MrLlamaHC. You done it all in this game, please perfect your gameplay as you are just always spaming and using exploits. Ill give you a shit tone of money if you start D4 on Hardcore, and bring lots of people with you, and tell them this is the real deal. Nothing else can compare tbh. SoftCore means nothing but who as more time on his hands. Hardcore Players are so much better. I come from D2C Softcore btw. Not only D2R is rigged and boring, but like softcore on top of it?.... I died 4 times in the past 10 years in Hardcore, i remember all of my deaths, none were on my main char but still. Aside of Nith's skeleton glitch and Dolls Super Damage. Theres no other reason you should die at this game exept if you dont know what youre doing or if you just try too hard knowing death's not gonna affect you, wich is lame. Only good thing about Softcore was the Duel. And Duel as been lame for more than a decade. Everyone is the same and its a question of FPS and Spam speed. Not alot of strategies and skills... So why, why play a boring game over and over again without having a real challenge. You should not die at DiabloII, and the only way to become a good and credible player is by playing HC. Otherwise, youre just playing around with randoms casuals so that makes you the Soft Leader of Random Casuals. Like idk for you but, I would never want to lead noobs, i prefer to follow the Elites and be the worst player on the roster, right. At least I know iam among the good who actually know how to play this game. Yea, your videos are kinda lame for a 20 years game.. Anyways, sorry for my behavior i did my best. Iam severly narcistic, appologize for that but keep in mind i was abused before becoming an agressor. You agress in order to not be agressed, thats about it... An other story for an other day. Iam saying that just so you take my point seriously and dismiss the attitude i could of had writting this.
