@@Raxxanterax So it is a bit unclear to me, but is the gear you have equipped at the gameplay section decked out? (I.E. are they primals and are the gems max ranked?). This build seems really powerful but im struggling to get past gr70 with my zunimassas WD, figured id switch over and wanted to know at what point would i see thee results? also, is the gear augmented? because that would require high rank gems to augment, and if im not mistaken, if you want a 100% guaranteed chance to up a gem, you have to be at least 10 gr levels above the rank of the gem.

You HAD to have decked out gear for this to have gone so smoothly for you lol. even with everything this build says to have item wise and skill wise, i was STILL getting 1 shot on gr70 and could barely survive gr50 without dying over and over again, granted i did die a few times. if i cant get past gr50 i cant augment my non weapon/jewelry gear as it requires at least a rank 50 gem, meaning i need to hit gr 60 before i can consider that as an option. so if you can give me any tips to make it that high, rather than what will get me the highest i would greatly appreciate it.

Great guide as always, but I would suggest you to use your stop-key + teleport instead of walking around, since this will keep your dmg bonus at 100% all the time. Let go of stop to gain more momentum and cover greater distances

Just finish my first solo GR70 with 670 paragon lvl (i ended in less 6 min......don't know if it is a good mark but i like it). I have got a few differences from what you advice on the video: - in the neck i use: SQUIRT'S NECKLACE ; - the ring OBSIDIAN RING OF THE ZODIAC i use as the cube buff - equip rings: CONVENTION OF ELEMENTS and HALO OF KARINI - bracers i use your 2º suggestion: ASHNAGARR'S BLOOD BRACER In the talents i also got a few differences, i realize i was not using Evocation .....that was a huge mistake for me....i was taking a little longer between Archons. With this picks i'm felling very powerful killing everything in a short time, but as the worst part, i'm very very vulnerable at the start of the GR or when i change the floor in GR (sometimes i get a yellow boss at start, and that can ruin all GR). I will try the 2 set items (neck and ring) that you suggest, cus i think SQUIRT'S NECKLACE is the cause of the major difficulties that i have experience (i guess i will drop Halo of Karini that i was using with the Storm Armor). Again.....thanks for the cool videos.

It's actaully not possible to get a quadfecta Compass Rose, they automatacally roll with main stat and movement speed. The GoTo setup for Speed GRs will probably be to equip: Flavor of Time, Convention of Elements, and Halo of Karini. And cube: Messerschmidt's Reaver or In-geom and Squirt's Necklace. Tryhard setups can also run secondary Knockback rolls on weapon, offhand, and bracer for Strongarm Bracer(s). I feel like Blizzard also needs to promote Raxx already. I really dislike seeing Foaks, Big Witch Doctor, and The Shed trying to explain setups and mechanics that they don't understand. Haha

I know this is an older guide, but worth a shot... I'm reworking my non-seasonal Wizard into this build, but I'm struggling to get Archon back up as quickly as you seem to do. I have rolled CDR everywhere I can, but it still takes me a good number of seconds more than you. Suggestions?

If you have CDR everywhere but amulet like me, then the main thing is to start casting arcane torrent the second you get out of archon. casting that skill reduced your archon timer by 1 second every time you hit, and once you hit 20 stacks should allow you to go back in. So just make sure you're channeling arcane torrent to bring it back

yeah they nerfed it a ton. Blizz doesn't like to let Wizard players have an easy build where you just mash one button and steamroll rifts. Only Barbs and DH's get that! Wizard peons have to do little dances with five different skills and complex timing if we want to kill anything. ¬_¬

you should pop archon instantly to build up archon stacks first and only go for chantodo stacks on the second archon. Specially in higher rifts you will have a much easier time, because you are tanky right away and can build chanto stacks much faster the second time around. Without overlapping stacks you wont deal significant dmg anyway.

Hey rax I have a question sooo I cant notice a difference in rate of attacks between using arcane torrent static discharge and any other skill such as electrocute chain lightning, or any other fast attacking skill for that matter. Are you absolutely sure arcane torrent is the quickest way to get those 20 stacks??? Because unless they changed something, I noticed that there is a small delay between stacks for on-hit stacking abilities, so I think it's more viable to use something that doesnt cost arcane power to get those stacks back up. Hopefully you could make sense of what I'm trying to say here, but anyway, thoughts?

Def suggest making a 30 wiz in seasonal for swami and then 33 for fazulas. My 70 ran with a 33 fazulas and when I finally upgraded it was only 6% damage increase. Starting with 50 stacks is already better than any belt u could put there. Good vid. Also, diamond skin has permanent uptime with this build and the 6s duration rune.

When you are in archon form, you get teleport, slow time bubble, and a beam weapon. What are the other 3 skills you get and what do they do? How do the Archon attack skills compare with each other, and when should you use one over the others? Thanks.

malataur AOE explosion, always be hitting it. Teleport, use it when you want to move forward to more density or get somewhere safe when you’re popping out of archon. Punch, use it when you’re on top of elites. Beam, use it while teleporting around to aggro monsters to you, and once they get close switch to punch.

@@Raxxanterax Important note on that: Punch is always using your updated APS (attacks per second) -rate and Vyr gets tons of attackspeed due to all the Archon-stacks @4Piece-Bonus granting (among armor and resists) attacksped. Beam on the other hand is snapshotting your attacks per second when you enter Archon-form and won't update that till you enter the next Archon. You want do do as many actions per second as possible to get more Archon-stacks by attacking (and of course from killing, too, but that is about damage in general and not about attacks per second rate). Also regarding Stricken-stacks this is an important note. If nothing else possible due to ground stuff or other dangerzone-alike areas, Archon-beam is of course the solution then. Better getting some stacks meanwhile, than strictly waiting for a moment to get close for Punch alone. Stacking with Archon-punch yields more Stricken-stacks than using the beam due to the updating (constantly increasing) attacks per second rate up to the APS-cap of 5.00 .

Isn't it a better choice to go for Echoing Fury in the cube? Fully stacked it gives 75% more ias - you would stack archon-stacks way faster and should generate much more overall dmg. I had no time to test it myself on the PTR, but I#d think that it might outperform the furnace if the faster stacking is worth it. What's your opinion/testing to it? Thanks! :)

Echoing Fury isn't bad, but the reason I'm not going for it is because we can already hit the 5.0 attacks per second breakpoint without it, and we don't even take that many attack speed rolls. That's why I'm thinking it's not worth

I have only started playing in the last few weeks and i was looking to do a season character when 18 launches. My main question is how do you get all this gear you need for this build? Do you keep farming naphalem rifts and hope the stuff you want drops? Or is there something i am missing being new to the game?

It's a combination. In an ideal situation, you are playing with a 4 man group consistently to have maximum drop chances and trade-ability. Outside of that, you grind regular rifts for DBs and keystones up to a certain point. ( depends on how you structure your playtime based on how you approach a season ) You would typically use those to acquire your weapons and then jewelry as needed. Once you have a stockpile of keystones you do greater rifts for blood shards and use them on any 25 shard cost item you still need. In either case, you run rifts at the highest level that you can comfortably clear in 4 minutes or less for efficiency. Once you have a workable build you get your 70 done for your chances at primal drops. If you are playing with a group and are dedicated, you should have this done within a few hours of gameplay at max level. From there, you continue to finetune your builds for attaining paragon and upgrades depending on how serious you are going to go in the season.

I watch a lot of your videos and I deeply respect the amount of time and effort you put into each video. Have you ever considered running a measurschmidts Reaverin the cube? I do this to reduce the cooldown time of Archon quickly so I basically figured out how to always be in archon... you have to kill as many enemies as you can to get back into archon ...with the messerschmitt reaver affix buff... however my question is how do you know when you have reached 20 archon Stacks while outside of archon.... I did not even know that it's a good idea to build up your stack before entering archon I'm just usually in Ark on 100% of the time... I thought that was the goal for this build

Hi Mike, thanks for the lovely compliment :). You can see your chantodo stacks building as a buff just above your skill bars. The 20 stacks makes you do a lot more damage, so that's needed for pushes. If you're just blazing through speed content though, you can go back into archon the moment its up

There are four really good attributes set bonus to that set. Although you would have to switch something out of the cube or one of your rings to put a royal ring of grandeur. Check out aughilds search set and get back to me? Oh, I also noticed like all of your gear is Primal how do you acquire the specific set pieces that are Primal? Do you reforge legendary? Or do you just do hours of searching and looting?

@@Raxxanterax I finally got all the pieces, and have been doing plenty of GR 90s and T16. While I'm rerolling items for upgrades now, I've found I'm not able to handle the damage done when I swap out for Nemesis for Ash Bracers - they just eat through the damage mitigation when I'm building up my Chantodo stacks with Diamond Skin on. I tried swaping out Squee's for FoT, and the Harden Shell rune for Diamond Skin. Is this a playstyle error on my part, or something that will come when I get perfect rolled stats/ancients for all my item pieces? I would like to use Nemesis and a cubed FoT/Squee as you have.

Hi. When you are getting Chantodo's stacks and pop into Archon you sometimes get several Chantodo's Stacks. Why is that and do they add something to the damage?

If there are missiles mid-air when you pop archon, they hit after you enter archon mode. Entering archon resets your Chantodo stacks to zero, so these start over from there. They do not add extra damage, only the stacks consumed when you enter archon add damage (max 20), but they stick around so it takes less time to build stacks the next rotation.

I'm precisely here for this video to see if I can find some tips on how to actually play this build as I've died like 5 times before I could even activate my archon for the first time(Trying to build up stacks for chantodo) and I've died way more than 10 times in the whole rift, to make matters even worst, it was only a T10 rift haha. First time playing this build, I think maybe I'm not starting it off correctly.

if you die quickly then enter archon immediately and build up stacks so youre getting tanky, then build up the chantodo and kill everything with the next archon. much easier that way

With getting Delsere's for the season 18, would this build and or play style be similar with Chantodo's? I mean, you would be in archon form, but if a second wizard casts slow while you are in archon, you get the 8500 percent weapon bonus, then swap while waiting on the archon cool down. Some people can reach the 5IAS breakpoint with just attack speed on the weapon, so you could try that for absolute min maxing, but most will need some other rolls to get there.

With the Evocation skill, paragon points and gear your CDR should be at 65-70%. So 120 - (120 * [.65 to .70]) = 42 to 36 seconds. Then you use the legendary bonus from Obsidian Ring of the Zodiac and your Secondary Attack skill Arcane Torrent w/static discharge to shed 1 second per hit from the remaining cooldown timer.

also messerschmidts reaver on the cube solves it. because it takes 1 sec off archon cooldown per kill, so blow up a bunch of enemies and u can literally chain jump into archon if u want.

Its not as good as it used to be but you can certainly have a lot of fun playing it still, it's just not at competitive as other but still very viable by Wizard standards

You would have to give up Fazula's which is a fairly strong starting point and you would have to use RorG in the cube so you would lose out on some piece of jewelry. Probably travelers pledge pieces. If you can handle some of the toughness/quality of life loses for extra DBs it's doable.

Because that takes out either belt or Swami, a massive decrease in power just for slightly more DR, not worth it. Actually Aughilds could be a better option if you're not solo, because you wouldn't need Nems.

I really don't know how I feel about this build. Its just too good. Like, Thorns Necro is great, but you have to fish a LOT of rifts. Its also not great for speeds and what not. Vyrs though.. its everything. When in archon you are pretty much in God mode and will not die. Its great with trash, elites and RG. Not to mention its fast. You can be doing like 90-100 on one character in like 7-10min or 110 in Vyrs in like 3-5min. Its really broken.

Have to put on Ashnaggar's bracers, other than that this should be good to push very high. If you need extra damage take out diamond skin for black hole -> absolute zero and throw that before you jump into archon

You have to time your teleport when he is about to jump to you and if you run out of archon you just need to cross fingers and hope you can sidestep lol he is roughest one

Have you completed the story mode yet? If not, do that before the season starts. Once you do that, you can look at his guide on how to prepare for the start of the season, he explains how to do that. At max level, you do the season journey objectives as they are given to you in-game. The green leaf icon is what you click on to check your progress. Doing that will eventually lead you to chapter 4 where the only thing you can't do in a group is a Greater Rift 20 solo. Pretty easy to do with the 4 pieces bonus you should have gotten in the process to that point and doing 1 greater rift, even a level 1 rift, to get a legendary gem. Getting through chapter 4 will give you a 6 piece bonus for free that will allow you to do a Torment 6-7 without much issue as long as you have the proper skills for that set. There are plenty of guides out there on what to start with. Once you've gotten to that point, it's just a back and forth grind of doing Nephalem Rifts for materials to use in the cube for weapons/jewelry and doing Greater Rifts for blood shards which you use to get other pieces that are the 25 costs because they are the most cost-effective options.
