A piece of information skipped in this video is that you don't want Area Damage, at all, not even in paragon. It messes with The Barber damage calculations and can cause it to go off early.

Why the green gems on the armor ? What are the benefit of dex vs Intel for this class ?

I think it's to increase the dodge chance. Since Intelligence classes have high elemental resistances and low armor, they use emeralds (increase dodge chance) or rubies (increase armor). For Strength/Dexterity classes, they usually run diamonds, to raise all resistances.

@@CriticalFeline yeah, it probably gives. Or it raises the chance to dodge (since Dex is the main attribute of Monk and DH, and they use dodge in some skills). Anyways, the emerald raises the Toughness just like the ruby.

Green and Red gems for classes that don't benefit from them damage wise just gives them armor, so if you need more toughness and survivability it's worth it to take Green/Red gems.

Int based classes tend to slot dex or str gems in armor pieces to further increase your armor and consequently your toughness. Usually that's done to push higher greater rifts. For lower GR's farming go for damage gems instead which would be int for int based classes. Int also increases resistances but since int based classes have very high int already, diminishing returns start to kick in which basically means thoughness scales better if you increase armor instead. Dex and str based classes instead have high armor values already which means you favor increasing resistances through int gems (same goes for item affixes where you favor res over armor).

Yep. The idea is to get your DoT's up and maintain soul harvest stacks. When mobs are controlled and taking all your DoT, start throwing out your barrage.

I'm not sure how much more beginner you want. You just do -exactly- what he says and you'll be brokenly powerful. He can't explain it much simpler than he does. That's why these videos are so good. He just gets right to the info you care about/need. What gear, what skills and why. Nothing more.

@@neonshadow5005 At a guess I'd say it could be they're looking for help on playing the class BEFORE getting the gear needed to run these particular builds. A casual player is unlikely to get this kind of gear anytime in the first week or two of the season, so pointers could be useful in those kind of cases.

On an int class, you are getting all res from int, so Dex gives armor instead :)

Int gems increase your all resist Str/Dex gems increase your armour so you gem for Str/Dex to give you more survivability since your all res will be high just from paragons and gear

I tried to so hard to like Diablo 3 because i am such a hardcore Diablo1 fan and i also kinda liked Diablo2. Anyway, i played D3 and after 3 hours i just had to quit. I can't get into it... i mean it sort of looks like Diablo but there is no Dark ambience at all and there is a tiny bits of Gothic theme, also the design of the caracters i find them to completely out of tone from the original Diablo Game. Most specifically what i could not forgive was all that colored flashy stuff going all over the place, it was so distracting and so out of place that i just had to quit.
