The one thing that's always killed me is that they expect us to believe Tristram got absolutely destroyed at the end of d1. At the start of d2 we have to set up a portal just to get to Tristram. Then in d3, we're expected to believe people were like, "why don't we just set up town a block away from Tristram? That'd be enough space between us and the bad juju right? "
@thepastmaster56432 жыл бұрын
Tristram's destruction was far more believable than them building a new city next to it between D2 and D3 IMO. XD D3 is fun but some things make no sense.

Bro people live in dangerous reckless places all the time. In real life, a big portion of humanity decided to permanently settle natural-disaster prone regions. There's also many years between Diablo games.... a new generation of traders/adventurers/rough folk looking for a quick buck wouldnt give a shit about some bad history 30+ years ago. Besides, New Tristram is specifically described as a small trading outpost/farm town. Its not like they built a Caldeum-level city in the Tristram area.

Diablo 1 and 2 were pulpy. Diablo 3 is just campy. 1 and 2 at least pretended to be serious. They had over the top gore, existential horror, and heroic one liners, but they felt reasonably coherent, with villains that matched their environment. 3 doesn't even feel like it's trying. Everything is so ridiculous it's more comical than horrible. Ahh yes. Next to our quant village is the BOG OF DOOM, leading to the haunted DROWNED TEMPLE, which takes you to the old manor over the HALLS OF AGONY, leading to the CHAMBER OF SUFFERINGGGG!!!!! (where the interior decorator uses wicker baskets full of heads like poporie to create that devilish ambiance.) Maybe I'm wrong, but there's more fresh cadavers in Leorics manor than there were in all of Hell in D1 & 2. imo, It's the WoW-ification that affected Starcraft 2 as well. Thanks for the video though! You're phenomenal, using your 1st person narration to create seamless stories like this is wonderful.
