How many of the chats change based on character class? Im assuming just a few, like when talking to someone for the first time ("a necromancer?! I havent seen your kind around here..." blah blah blah")
@EthanHyland6 ай бұрын
@SkyKid002 I believe for the base game classes (Amazon, Necromancer, Barbarian, Paladin, and Sorceress), there is one person in each of Acts I, II, III, and V who comments on your class. The expansion classes (Assassin and Druid) only get commented about by one person each in Act V. Thing is, my favorite classes to play are the expansion classes, so I was a bit disappointed when they didn't have more class specific dialogue, especially with the Assassin, since Natalya in Act III is also one of the mage slayers herself.

With the remaster close at hand, I feel the scourge of the underworld closing in once again. I feel... the screams of agony, fear for the loved ones and the destruction of all that was build by mankind's hand, even society itself. It is with a heavy heart, that I pick up my armor again. To bring justice against thy tyranny of hell itself. What a glorious feel of nostalgia, a few months before the release of diablo 2 ressurected. I was thrown into this magic world when I was only 12 years of age and the fiery warmth of it's touch never really subsided. You made this fire burst into full flame yet once again with your own interpretative ways of a great story arc. It was masterfully put together. Right to the last piece of the last second of the falsely directioned Portal from Tyrael (i had a great laugh at that, thanks for that :D) The only thing missing in your audio line catch-ups were the re-visiting lines of the town's folks once you travelled on to the next act. Some of them (like charsi or fara) had really sweet or memorable lines to say about your journey. Other than that. This was the best throwback into a long ago childhood I am thankfull to you from the depths of my heart. I'm looking forward the the cunning story's of a crusader venturing into the realms of sanctuary... thank you so much for this!!!

D2: LOD is still my favorite game of all time. D4 has gotten a lot better, but it's not in the GOAT category for me yet. We'll see if the D4 expansion introduces runeowrds or sets/uniques that actually matter (besides ubers). Wow! 20 years later and this is the first time I'm hearing several of these early return voicelines. I had no idea they had these interim voicelines for nearly every quest/NPC. Thanks man!

Tbh I've played this game for a long time but I haven't gotten deep deep within the lore, only the upper surface. The way you go through this game and point out the details of the environment really enhances the appreciation of the world crafting of this game. One example was the mural of tal rasha and the stone after the fight with Duriel, I can't believe I've never seen that before and again it really enhances the world crafting. This was an amazing watch as you pretty much do this through the entire video. Thanks for your efforts.

Even after all this time, the opening cinematic still gives me chills. The atmosphere, the voice acting, the many MANY questions that follow afterwards about literally the entire point of this poor soul's story. It's like something ripped out of a horror novel, and I never would have thought these things would go well together until THIS GAME came into my life and showed me what exactly one could do with a setting like this. Phenomenal game, it makes me want to somehow find a copy of Diablo 2 and play it all again.

Those were some great finds in the Chaos Sanctuary. It definitely helped to have that stuff in act 5. Having a crappy weapon against Baal’s minions and Baal can mean it will take quite some time to beat them. That Flail is one of the best weapons that you can find in normal difficulty. I stumbled over your vids and started with Diablo 1 out of wanting a nostalgia trip. I was a senior in high school when it came out. 25'ish years later, with 2 divorces, one son, and 12 years military service in the U.S. Army, watching these brought back so many memories. One being that I had four years of legitimate work in Diablo 2 when my younger brother deleted my game off the computer to make room for some stupid roller coaster sim game. I lost my mind. I was off fighting a war in Afghanistan and looked forward to coming home to my level 98 Barbarian and all my perfect jewels and gear to play the expansion I hadn't got to touch yet. That was the one time I actually had a tear fall from my eye over such a thing. 4 years of hard work and sleepless nights, GONE. These vids make me want to return to them. I have beaten all of them on the hardest settings, D1-D3 and the expansions. My son KNOWS not to touch my save files nor ever delete any of my games, lol. Thanks for these vids. Love em. Not checked yet but I hope you do Diablo 3. I know it got some hate but I enjoy it. You can't please everyone. I like its streamlined interface myself, but each to their own. Keep up the great work, you earned my sub.

I love the Diablo series, although I hate that literally everything you or anyone else does is almost Always, "oh the prime evils planned that from the beginning." That's the only thing about Diablo I don't like. It feels like your quests are pointless since you already know that somehow, someway Diablo and the rest of the prime evils have already planned ahead and nothing you did really mattered.
@leightonmiller12673 жыл бұрын
Well, it absolutely mattered. The prime evils are... well, prime evils. They're more representations of horrible things than compelling villains. However, without the actions of the nephalem, the prime evils would fuck shit up completely unrestrained. The goal is to undermine them, which is always done. Because despite an avoidance to participate in the eternal conflict... mortals still end up roped into it.
@Sorain13 жыл бұрын
Right up until the end of Diablo 3. But in a sense, nothing went to plan for the Prime Evils. They were constantly having to adjust their plans because mortals kept getting in the way. Sure, Diablo figured that out and used it... ONCE. But the Adria plot was a backup plan, which means the original plan failed. Just because you prepared for the possibility of failure, doesn't mean you didn't fail. Only Diablo 1 can be said as a flat out win... yet even then, Diablo's original plan was to take Leoric and by willpower to resist, that failed. Hence the plot of Diablo 1 itself represents coming back from a failure for Diablo. (Imagine what he could have done with control of King Leoric!) We shall see what comes of the ending of Diablo 3/Reaper of Souls in Diablo 4, but I'm pretty sure they'll let the end of the three brother's long plotting from pre Diablo 1 end with Tethmet's defeat. None of them predicted or planned for Malthael's actions after all.
@Salted_Fysh3 жыл бұрын
Well, not quite. You spend the entirety of Diablo II hot on the heels of the Primes. You arrive in Tal Rashas tomb just after he was freed, you reach Mephisto moments after Diablo enters Hell and it is only by the shortest of time frames and only through treachery that Baal manages to reach the Worldstone before you can confront him. Not to mention that if Marius had done his job, Baal would have never recovered his Soul stone. I should say rather than 'they planned it all along' it was a 'they planned for this possibility'.

This is a pretty incredible piece of storytelling and creative work. You take the natural guidance of the game's plot and visuals and bring it to life with rich narration that never gets tiresome to listen to. You add grounding sensory details like smells and you draw nuances from the very scenery and doodads, a lot of which details I never noticed before despite playing this game for many years. You take stock of the monsters in the area which is great for listening to the video while doing other manual tasks - I can follow along the action and know what you're fighting without needing to see it. You introduce the characters' dialogue with narrative grace that manages not to be repetitive - no easy task! And you have such consistently top-notch wordplay! Your alliterations are actually always amazing. The previous video series of Diablo 1 was just as good. I haven't finished this one yet but I'm excited to keep watching and then get to the one for Diabo 3. Great lore refresher to dive right into Diablo 4 this coming Tuesday. Thank you so much for making this and WELL DONE! Truly an epic and magnificent work of storytelling.
