Inspired by you, I created a hardcore barb, now level 52. I have nothing and it seems I will have to do the altars. Any advice to choose the levels of nightmare dungeons, especially at the beginning when I have no scroll of escape?

Of all the classes to bite the big one...why didn't you just stop & retry the next day Raxx? Wasn't the druid your 1st char anyway?

Can't speak for him, but I would guess, because doing a 24 hour speedrun marathon is really tough... also he said somewhere in the 24 hour stream he's getting a little tired of D4 for now and is going to play Elden Ring tomorrow. edit: Oh I misread what you said... he continued after the first druid died because he thought he could save enough time on the other characters to try the druid again. And he was right, it's just that the second druid died too.

@@finraziel Interesting. What build was he playing, a melee one I assume? I would have gone pulverize to keep some range. My lightning storm druid has no survivability issues if I keep my distance mostly, of course, you really need a tempest and a zenith to make that or tornado work, eh. At least he had all the aspects ready to go I assume, along with virtually unlimited mats.

@@Nostromo2144 he used lightning storm, worked really well too. Don't remember the exact times but all classes were pretty close (with barb as the speed king). He did have precrafted gear for the first druid, second one he had to make gear too, but didn't slow him down much. He did have plenty of mats and a lot of holy bolt potions stored. He did not use any uniques, lightning doesn't really need it for leveling. 6 energy umbral takes care of resource. What killed him the first time was the volcano modifier in a nightmare dungeon, they all spawned under him while he was channeling lightning and he says he'd taken his eyes off the screen to look at chat for a second right then. Bursted him down almost instantaneously. The second druid died to the butcher. He used his charge (which was his only cc break) to get away but butcher charged right after him and slammed him into a wall stunning him. He had forgotten to bind his scroll of escape so he went into inventory and clicked it but it didn't work. Turns out they don't work when you're crowd controlled and he didn't know that so after clicking it a could times he stopped thinking he'd done it instead of continually trying to get away as soon as the stun wore off (also he had been awake and streaming for around 24 hours at that time, including a couple times where he paused the Speedrun timer). Druid is just cursed for him 😅
