You don't need 3 elixirs to delete mobs because they barely help For example, if you are a sorc or a necro, the incense that gives you 25 inteligence means 2.5% extra damage, which is very little but at least it is something. Now imagine how less meaningful 25 strength, willpower and dexterity is for you. The bonus of that is super small and even if you use 3 incenses (type 1 2 and 3) only one will give you bonus exp because the bonus exp doesn't stack on them The possible exception I think of, is if the extra 25 stats of the incense help you get to get one of the paragon bonus which requires a minimum amount of a specific stat, but even then, chances are this barely makes a difference I believe some incenses might be good while leveling or for bossing as well. I believe there are 2 that give resistances, although you can only use one at a time

I had been doing nightmare dungeons and loving it, but everyone was talking about helltide so I figured I'd try it some more... used the profane cage because I figured maybe that was why it felt slow to me... no, still slow, but now it's also dangerous :o I died a number of times in amped up helltide, I think I've died like once in nightmare dungeons (back when I first started around level 50). Helltide's nice for gearing, but yeah, for XP nightmare dungeons are way faster and imho much more relaxed way to play. Didn't know about that quest for double elixirs though, going to do that :) Thanks for all the great content man!

Season 4 has been fun as hell so far. The helltides, the mob density, the equipment drops - Build-defining uniques falling out of my ears. My S4 Necro is the first time I've even hit Tier 4. In prior seasons I'd run out of steam after getting a character to lvl 68-70. Blizzard did good with this season.

One thing I haven't seen anyone talk about is the elemental surge weapon temper. Once it's legendary you can use it on an alt and gives a fairly good chance to deal thousands of damage, even at level 1. Now you only need to solve defense in order to start capstones.

Same is true for the max life defensive temper, it adds around 400 life which is massive for low levels. I did this on my second character and deleted the capstone on a lvl 20 rogue, one shotting most enemies and being unkillable myself.

I think the real MVP tip is that if you go into your Collections > Codex of Power - you can put your cursor over aspects you frequently find yourself replacing and mark them as favorite. When you’re at the Occultist and are applying an affix, the favorited ones will automatically be bumped to the very top of their category list(s) :)

You used to only get them guaranteed from Duriel before when he was introduced. Then they unlocked it to where either S3 or this season that NMD Tier 50 or 60+ are all 925s. And the obvious Andariel drops 925s cause she was introduced after duriel.

If you’re able to do the Helltide boss multiple times in a row, particularly if multiple people are there and also starting the boss, you can level far faster than any dungeon, and you will get a lot of cinders to open multiple boxes. In roughly 20-30 min, I had leveled 3 times and had over 1,200 cinders.

Something to go hand in hand with the snowflake tip. When you Scan for the icons of what can upgrade your codex, at the same time, mark everything else as junk. Then when you go to the weapons vendor sell all junk with one click. Boom, back to the races.

Ive been enjoying this much more than when i first played in S1. I'm still farming renown since I just completed the campaign for the first time, but i cant help myself when i run across a helltide or I get a message that a boss/legion event is about to start. All yellows are going for gold. They only have two rows of affix rolls, and unfortunately, imprinting no longer adds a random third one anymore. I wish Blizzard would just stop dropping yellows at some point and just drop piles of gold.

Hey rax, very very important part of the leveling you should include in your guide. Save the seasonal cache for after first capstone. You get a full set of sacred 625 fully kitted to rip through t3

It’s the same either way. Sacred caches are called sacred caches, and the item power is predetermined. Open them immediately, you do not need to wait

The gold shrines are epic for gold. First you get more gold from killing and then at the end of the buff an imaginary chest explodes if gold everywhere around you

i did actually switch to NM Dungeons on t3 asap since i needed a break from helltide and thought, hey i need to level glyphs anyway so i do not care if it takes a little longer. found that to be really cool to have a path that makes ALL the activities usefull - so Helltide to Dungeons back to helltide and bosses to Pit sounds really good - Also for the elixir - i hope its not a bug - i would find it really cool to have some quests in the game that you actually WANT to do like in other games (skillpoints in d2 or poe - permanent stat increases and so on).

I'm running into a lot of frustration bricking items through tempering and it stops me from trying master working. Was wondering if you think blizzard will open up a way to remedy this? You need to add 1 info Raxx. Doing capstone at 35, going in wt3 and with obols you can have full sacred gear yellow, convert in legendaries and temper. For Wt4, doing the capstone at 50-55, and buy all ancestral gear with obols and double temper. It save alot of doing.

I'm flying through the levels this season with the Necro minions build. It's almost a joke how quickly I'm leveling. Last season on my Hota Barb was a slog, where I'd average a level every two days. Now I'm hitting 2 levels in an hour or less.

Quick note on the incense... there are 3 tiers of incense (i can only craft 2 right now) and you can have one of each tier active as well. So, i have been running two incense along with holy potion and the one that increases cinders.

bricking gear by tampering in a game where we do not have deterministic target crafting is bad AF. in the game where finding a ring with CHD and CHC with 3rd whatever stat can take a week, and now wwith addition of greater affixes ... good luck of finding same item you bricked with good greater affixes :D Tempering needst to work like enchant. WE need to have control over results. if we want to keep the roll, or stick with the one we have rn.

2 tips, while leveling, temper weapons with lucky hit-40% to do 4000-8000dmg, at low levels this 1 shots everything and if you have a character at T4 he probably dropped this temper. Also i keep all gear that has max rolls on skills, for example +2 core skills, or +3 bone spear, because it will be harder to roll this on gear than max life or crit

Tempering can add so much damage for not a lot of gold early on. Like before 50. Incinerate was doing crazy damage already, and after tempering some new gear around 40, everything was withering before me like straw in a tempest. Its the best way to boost your dmg and defense if you feel like youre laggin behind.

Thanks for the elixir of antivenin tip, i had no idea. Though i think you need to be careful with not crafting too many of those since they require 35 angelbreath each. I have a lvl 100 necro and a lvl 75 barb, i can craft a total of 20 elixirs, then my 700 angel breaths are out - that's just elixirs for 10 hours, a time which most people won't reach lvl 100 and if you use this elixir all the time while levelling you'll be out of angel breath and can't enchant your gear anymroe, which is very important.

@Raxxanterax the NM sigil that boosts glyph XP is also multiplicative with glyph XP from ashes. So you can boost it from 20 to 44%. Pretty nice buff. I just got 422 glyph xp from a lvl 65 or 66. Also if you trust someone to roll with ya..being in a 2p party gives a net gain of 35% extra XP gain. Unless you want the race to 100 to be completely solo.

Great guide as always, Raxx! A small feedback about Stashing vs Selling/Salvaging at 11:26 ... I've been following your advice, but then I realized that for some Slots/Builds, a non-GA item with an important Affix is MUCH better than a GA item without it e.g. For Minions Necro .. A non-GA Chest w/ [+2 ranks to Golem Mastery] is much better than a 3-GA chest item without it Since Enchanting is super expensive, and those Affixes have a very low chance to come by, I now regret auto-selling all those Chest pieces 😭 On another different (but related) topic, even with stashing only GA items, I've filled all my stash within few days Then, I started selling any item where the GA is a crappy one (Life per Sec, GA Resistances, ...etc) It'd be great if you give your advice about what Affixes are universally bad ... even better, if there is a spreadsheet of desired affixes per slot for each meta build Thanks! I confirm, I actually skipped helltide in WT4 entirely, the events in dungeons are crazy, actually they leveled me more than dungeons themselves :P You can easily do 2-3 paragon points in ONE cursed shrine if u have fast killing aoe build (main was druid lightning storm).
