Diablo combos and tips.

Some quick Diablo tricks for new and experienced players alike.
1: q minions so you can get close to enemies without pushing them away. Against melee enemies q a melee minion to go behind them. Against ranged enemies q a melee or ranged minion to close the gap then flip them.
2: Never cast an apocalypse without comboing to guarantee a stun.
3: Hellgate is free wins against people who haven't faced diablos who use it correctly. 2 easy combos with hellgate that allow for easy kills.
I tried to keep this short by showing the ones I felt were the most important but there are a ton I missed, If you feel another combo is better, feel free to share it in the comments below.

I've been channeling my inner bambam and playing Diablo so this video is extremely timely! Thanks especially for the Hellgate combos -- I haven't seen those before and didn't really know how to use that talent.

Just wanted to mention, some people save their apoc for these combos a bit too much. It's true that you CAN always get a stun with it, but if your team or some guy is getting chased, especially through a narrow choke, defensive apoc can be fine. Same with, for example, if you or someone else gets garrosh flipped - throw out an apoc to prevent followup until your team can engage.

Another tip: Maybe the W is useless but for the combos is better to try to cast first so when the cc combo ends u can cast again because his W have a very low CD.(Diablo is the tank Rengar of HOTS: if he is in the bush, you are dead lol)

I killed a Jaina in ARAM by doing R, Q, E, Hellgate on top of her, Q (into the Core), W and one AA. It felt so good, she couldnt even use her Iceblock in Time, because she was nonstop stunned. Diablo is pretty fun to play and very rewarding. But he isnt the easiest Tank to play i would say.

My favourite combo is mix of these 2: Apocalypse -> Q -> E -> Hellgate (with walls possibly). Its nearly 4 s stun :D

I'm waiting for someone to record a Diablo - Colossus Varian murder squad. I've seen it when Grubby was doing a meme Diablo build in QM and it worked really well even with him going in a completely opposing way with his build. Imagine the potential when both players go for synergy.

Low Diamond Player here. Sometimes when I pick Diablo I get bodied by either Uther or ETC or both. I know of that mindgame, that when ETC walks toward me I shouldn't flip + push him because then he face smelts + powerslides bringing me into a bad position, this one is not a problem to me. My problem is when I apoc + shadow charg, then uther can clickstun me and will usually cancel my shadowcharge giving his teammate I was targeting (or himself) time to walk away. Same with ETC who can cancel my shadow charge with face smelt which is hard to time right, but some games it happens all the time. Maybe I should watch their CDs a bit more carefully, but when I try I usually either get impatient and initiate anyway (surely ETC is distracted right now and won't hit the 0.2s time window for face smelt right?) or they engage on us and before I can do anything my heal and Damage died and I can either retreat in shame or die in (not so much) honor.

Then, if you cant wait for their Cds, then you has to learn how to bait their cds in a way you feel comfortable with. For ex: if uther has divine shield and his Lunara is low health at lvl 16, so you can have your reset of Q, you could try to focus on lunara as the ranged minion to get closer to Uther. Uther in that case, could think "Diablo is going full to Lunara, i got to pop shield", then you focus Uther and hope for ppl to join and kill him. Also, you dont need to oneshot with your team, pop their cds to make a better play, ppl usually dont wait till better moment to engage, so they get triggered cos nothing is happening and go ham alone and die. Another tip you could go for is to watch their range, for ex, to wait till ETC who keeps going front and back waiting, he goes a pixel away from his Q range, and then you can initiate without problem. Thats something often pro players do, usually when i watch it is like "how? when?" then i understand is this kind of moves, the pixel moves. To know in a lot of heroes is hard but if you focus on Dibbles, then you will learn it easier. GL pal and stomped them to death

Favorite video so far considering I'm trying to main diablo these days. Was even working on some of this in try mode today for practice. Didn't know about the 2nd hellgate one so looks like it will back to practice after work. Someone else mentioned another one for huge range involving hellgate. Hopefully I can find that one too. I'm a bit late here but you can Q a distant minion/structure and hellgate into range for an overpower. Lets your inner genji shine through every 100 seconds

Does the combo change at all when you have the increased range on q? I feel like when I grab that they get charged farther.

yes but that's only the case if your angle of charge is bad, what you should be doing with the increased Q range is make sure your charges hit walls easier, not use them for further "chase" :D

His early in development design really shows. So many mistakes they made. His base kit is really badly designed. Shadow charge is not only useless without a wall but counterproductive. You knock people out of skill shots and put yourself in danger. So you have to flank with it or combo with overpower, but that's he second probably. He can't properly engage, he has to get a lucky surprise attack from a bush or fog of war. Or the enemy has to be dumb enough to walk right next to him. Lastly, his third ability slot is wasted by a miniscule aoe that misses all targets and can't be aimed. Fire Stomp should work like Razor's ability in Dota. It is a connected aoe wave that bounces out at a fixed radius from diablo then returns. Enemies that get hit by the edge when it's most extended take the most damage. It should also provide a 15% slow that can stack twice if you hit an enemy twice.

I agree with you on the Fire Stomp, it's pretty useless and a waste of mana, and the talents for it can't be picked, because of mandatory better talents.
