4 common Mistakes you might be making on Greymane (with some bonus tips)

Again a video that is mostly for newer players, but hopefully it helps others. 4 Common mistakes I see over and over on Greymane in lower ranks and it bleeds into higher ranks.
Not to mention people who pick up Greymane and are not sure what to do this at least gives you an idea of what not to do.

Greymane rule: after you go into worgen, somebody will die in the next 4 seconds... Make sure it's not you. Love this guide! I especially like the tips on waveclear and the level at which is reasonable to solo a hard camp.

You can go GftT when enemy team has things like li ming, morales, genji, and your team needs to win a fight to kill one of them before its too late. Usually at enemy teams with high sustain like for ex ETC, Thrall, Uther, Maiev and Li ming, when 3 of your enemies has a way to get health back or deny damage, if your team get a pick of Thrall in a bad position, you can burst him before he can get heals from his passive. Also, it gives you a potential resets fight securing kills of 1 or 2 in any teamfight, so is worth it! But, at the same time, if the real threat in that composition was ETC because he is doing so good and always 4 man mosh, then you can go Bullet and remove from a TF. Both are good, he points more about when to pick bullet, and how to use it well, if you dont land all the combo, then go GftT.

Quicksilver Bullet is the go to when you do the "W" build and Incendiary Elixir if you go for Perfect Aim. I've seen some Korean pros go Incendiary Elixir even with the "W" build. Since baseline splash and mana cost on cocktail are both better than before I guess I see why they do this, but haven't really tried it myself. Wizened Duelist is kind of a trap talent I feel. To stack it faster you wanna be in Worgen form which makes you more likely to die. If you stay in Human form you stack it slower. On an average day, you're looking at a 10 to 15% boost as you approach level 20. This is still significant, but back in the day this talent can snowball so hard in the right match-up.

And how to train your angles or tips about angles in any map, like in volskaya is easy, but in maps like Blackheart or Sky Temple there are a few angles that are hard to use. Dont remember what map was, but there is a map where you cant land a W to enemy fort and damage backline, but only in 1 pixel, also in another is the same but when you defend. Hard to master though.

I have a tips that should help those who struggle to aim Hanzo's scatter arrows. Remember to set the W to be quick cast on release instead of just quick cast, it will help a lot. Also for those who are concerning about the angles for scatter, I suggest to watch the streams of pro player when they are picking Hanzo, for me I watch KSVRich a lot.

I think there's one thing that you are doing (maybe unconsciously now) and you should've mentioned it but you didn't (or maybe you did and I'm just deaf). Lots of people don't really know how to time their Razor Swipe properly and they actually lose DPS cuz Q gets in the way of a basic attack. I notice that you are timing it perfectly in between basic attacks (as expected for a player of your caliber) but you probably should've pointed that our for scrubs like me.

You forgot to mention utility of Cursed Bullet of shapeshifting into Human. If you use it, you shapeshift (from worgen) and your E is off cooldown, so you can use it to further stick to enemy.

Lvl 13 on the prowl, has no duration on the movement speed but it only activates after the 3 seconds of inner beast uptime. this further reinforces the human form first mentality

if you spec greymane for wolf form build you actually can spend more of team fights in wolf form, you can use it to pressure their healer and then use e to escape back to your backline and auto attack from human form

Remy u should try as i said, being doing it forever. Learned it from a Kala replay analysis on Greymane. GM attack speed with his W on is 1.5 attacks per second, u can def use one in between your abilities, at lvl 20 this accounts doe 2k more dmg overal in the combo!

Nice guide (as usual). But a tiny comment from Gold-Plat (IMHO): if you go for a siege (giant) camp you should attack them in rotation and hit both with Q. It speeds up by 0.5-2sec. Same with Sonya, Illidong and etc.

Movement speed of "On the Prowl" is not granted FOR 3s only, but rather AFTER "Inner Beast" has been active for 3s for as long as you can keep it active.

quick tip for greymane: you can cancel the animation for your AA with worgens form Q. So after you dive in always get one AA off before you swipe (Q) for better dps and for any swipes after that.

Hi NotParadox! i would love to see some tips about Maiev waveclear and how to develop your combos and with Malthael. I do think in a game where we all know Sonya, Leoric, Dehaka, Rexxar and the list goes ando goes, can solo lane great, is a huge deal that we dont see those heroes in gold for ex, to clear a wave in the correct way we all see when a pro use them. It would be very helpfull to make our teammates grew from a potato to their korean form.

Isn't it more of an argument to use cursed bullet if they have two frontlines? Because the burst it offers is just too good. % damage in general has this weird interaction where you want to draft more tanks into it and you want to draft % damage into more tanks especially in Cursed Bullets case since it is burst. The only time I don't see it as a good option is vs Garrosh.

i basically play GM only and after 90 lvl i learned a few things: one of this is that against certain heroes you must go worgen form, for example maiev, fenix, hanzo, nova, kel'thuzad etc etc. Ofc in a team fight you don't want to jump and get killed, but i feel that whenever the tank is threatened, you can jump on squishy, as long as you are able to dodge burst DMG and skillshots. Also if wizened duelist is taken at lvl 7 the quest will go twice as fast, if in worgen form. Another concern i have is that if you just poke DMG on the enemy they can get healed/fall back/use hearthstone. In my opinion you will always deal more dmg by staying in worgen form just because you actually deal more damage per basic attack, sure it's harder to keep the inner beast on but i think it's still worth it. P.S. I usually do W(stays up for 3/4s)2/3 basic attack then jump(5 s cooldown) AA then Q, AA and then disengage away or towards the enemy either to get another AA and finish off with cocktail behind the wall or just to play safe.In regards of the wave clear i kinda disagree with that: you always cocktail then jump on the mage minion to get the globe then Q, disengage and cocktail again, it's more safe and you get a globe faster ofc when you are alone you can do what you explained and get as many minions as you can with your Q.

An Inner beast human GM does more damage than a non Inner beast worgen GM. Worgen i s also melee, which means you are vulnerable to everything that counters melee heroes like slows. Unless your opponents are REALLY bad, then there is no way you can be attacking the enemies every time your auto-attack is ready, as opposed to human GM which really only needs stutter stepping.

You are right, but honestly i'm in diamond/master and i do really well with a solid 58/59% winrate idk if it's because my enemy are bad, anyway the only counter i suffer from are: diablo, butcher and varian and you don't see them all in 1 team. So i don't find that hard to keep my inner beast active even in worgen form because honestly 4 basic attack, as worgen, on level 16 kill almost anyone so it's not about having a streak of 100 that is getting out healed, but rather of 10 and get a kill that can win the next fight or objective. Another thing is that I like just using w even only for bust mabye just 6/7basic attack, because by the time that they get the hp back i'll have my w on again and if anyone that doesn't counter me try to fight me i can kill him quiet easily. Last thing is that, yes, some times you have to studder step, but only 35% of the time.

His range isn't safe anymore, there has been too much powercreep lately in that department (Fenix, Hanzo, etc.) He is good, but last Icy Veins meta tier list downgraded him to Core and Oxygen is thinking of placing him in Viable. Reasoning is that displacement is new game, and regular AAs (5.5 range) are in danger zone.

yes. some go into wolf form too early but way too many also do it too late. i see a lot of people use grey as genji and only use wolf as a finisher. wolf has 40% more damage! use it as much as u can.

Gonna be real: I only pick Greymane for being one of the few anthro player characters in the game with Chen, Li Li, and Alexstraza (for the 20-30 seconds the game allows. And maybe Murky / Brightwing / Misha / Falstad's Mount by technicality). I have zero interest in his human form as anything but an escape ability. I suppose I should note that this kind of mentality is also why I have no interest in playing Hero/Team League.
