@@kevinfunk83 they are not entirely useless, magic unlike other forces of nature are active while time is stopped (probably, because magicules are used to mimic the natural laws not create something equally with the same properties) BUT that barrier can still shatter during time stop and then you no longer have a barrier that protects you only reason they survived was because Michael was leaning to use time stop on the fly and could only stop time for a few moments later in the fight with Chole and Rimuru he could use it better and was able to halt time longer

He also evolved into a demon peer when rimiru named him for similar reasons. Time stop is a wholly unique ability at the time only Michael, guy, Chloe, feldway, and dagruel had. You are completly at your enemies mercy if you don’t have it yourself. But it’s worthless if your enemy has time stop as well. Actually it’s mostly a downside to use if your enemy does too since it limits a lot of abilities. Diablo did make some countermeasures that helped a bit in delaying but it was mostly Chloe buying time until rimirus cirl Dan analyzed time stop and gave rimiru the power to do it himself. Diablo also later gains the power of movement in time stop after learning it through analysis.
