Hi. Need help to understand the effectivity of both gems as I may have misunderstood it. For you and other readers, please feel free to give your opinion. Echoing Shade: On a PvP perspective, it has no cooldown and easy to trigger. The clones only do primary attack and it is slow. The clones may act as decoy but dies easily. In the current update, does this gem still give its potential value especially for a melee class while having opponents throw lots of AOE skills at you. Chip of Stoned Flesh In text, the gem is really good. Provides additional burst damage when curse explodes and extra damage % during the duration of the curse. In PVP, this gem gets triggered upon application of loss of control which is dependent on the user’s potency and opponent’s resistance. If you have high potency, this gem can actually work wonders but if the opponent has high resistance, it can only last less than the expected duration. Please cmiiw, is the chip’s curse duration last only until the duration of loss of control? With these arguments, would you change these gems to other leg gems if you have the resources? Thanks.

You can see the usefulness of Echoing Shade only rank 8 and above because it's up to 3 clones already and they have more life. Chip of stoned flesh for me is one of the must Monk gem. Even if your potency is as low as 1k because Monk has lots of stun skills. The invocation and 6p gloomguide can also provide stun which procs it.

You may have your current gem setup as they may provide you with the maximum resonance which I would do the same. As to your point, Echo Shade is not advisable for F2P/mid spender friendly and better choose other gems. Now for Chip, monks may have multiple skills to trigger loss of control but in consideration of playing in a server which has lots of whales, that loss of control only lasts less than the expected duration. Take note of the resistance coming from reforge skills which makes it even lesser or even completely nullified. Wouldn’t you agree that a gloom cask gem can give better damage output within 6 seconds compared to less than a second of damage coming from chip?

Are you not wasting that main hand mystic allies cool down if your spots are awakened? I think max cool down reduction is 30%. So with the other essences affecting mystic allies and awakened giving you cool down the extra cool down from the main hand does nothing as it’s all-ready capped.

My only active awakened gear is the armor since I only have 1 rank 10 gem. So I need all of those for the mystic allies to be up all the time.

Bottles hope is great, Phoneix is good for pvp and reso, seeping is good too, frozen heart is fantastic with the restoration stance, bsj is a must have, and mothers lament is a must have imo

How do you get 4 pieces of ancestral property? I thought its limited to 1 per person?

You can only select one ancestral property effect. I'm talking about the invocations on those ancestral gears. It's to activate the selected ancestral property.

Yup. Just hit and run, but I recommend going for support/cc build if you have low reso.
