The green jota is inspiring the interior I’m going to do on my RX-7. But every video the knowledge and passion John has for Lamborghinis has truly inspired me and reignited my love of lambos and exotics in general. Now that I’ve been in the car industry a little while, I want nothing more than to somehow alter my career to be involved with cars like this in some way shape or form.

I think people severely underestimate just how much time a restoration takes. Even when you're paying a shop to do the work there is a substantial amount of time put into the car from a technical level finding parts, making many many decisions etc. Then there's always something small that delays a restoration. It really takes a huge amount of work from many suppliers to bring it all together. Have to be passionate and patient. Thanks for showing this. Hard to explain without people actually seeing it.

It’s the “John finds a Lamborghini from his Childhood “ .. show. Every episode is about some Lamborghini, and how emotional is was… always spectacular… no numbers are ever discussed and no other brand has 1/4 of what Lambo have in camera time. It’s always just John, spitting a bunch of used car salesman banter… 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️

I'm sure that Jota is one I rode in at the factory when it was new. I lived near Modena as a student for a year and used to hang around the Ferrari and Lambo factory gates on my time off. The test drivers started to acknowledge me and one day the Lambo test driver stopped after passing through the gates and asked if I wanted a ride. It was a yellow RHD Jota, the driver wasn't sure if it was destined for the UK or Japan. My memory says it had a blue alcantara interior but I also got to ride in a Viola SE30 so I may have been confused as that would almost definitely of had a blue alcantara interior. We did the usual route out of Sant' Agata toward Nonantala and looped back round on the crazy roads with the deep ditches at the side. Happy Days indeed. Love your channel, one of the best.

@@WeAreCurated they were great times then everything was much less corporate and more accessible. I've looked at your list and No.5 is RLA12067- Yellow/Blue Alcantara - Japan, the more I think it was all blue inside so I bet this is the car I rode in

I've kept an eye on that yellow Diablo SE30 Jota since I first saw it on the cover of Auto Italia magazine in about 1994... 1995. I bought a poster of it when I was a teenager (which I still have), seen it shown off here and there on KZbin, seen it for sale here in the UK and now here she is with you guys. - Pretty cool.

In the video John (great content btw!), you mention that there are probably 4-5 manual Grigio Telesto LP640s in the world. This, and the fact that my favourite car is the LP640 coupe in Grigio Telesto, inspired me to find out which the other ones are. 1. The one we get to see in the video, being at Lamborghini Polo Storico, VIN ZHWBE37M07LA02245. 2. The one used in The Dark Knight (Batman), VIN ? 3. A RHD one that has been spotted on Australian plates, VIN ZHWBE37M07LA02254. 4. A Canadian-spec car previously owned by Ed Bolian, VIN ZHWBC37M77LA02227. 5. One that received a body kit and that’s been for sale in Japan, VIN ZHWBE37M07LA02424. 6. One that’s been for sale at Lamborghini Carolinas and seen in Charlotte, VIN ZHWBU37M08LA02696. 7. One that attended the 2022 Monterey Car Week, license plate “5UBTLE”, VIN ZHWBU37M57LA02062. Does anyone know about some more examples?

@@WeAreCurated U need to also look into 2 RHD Lambos from Malaysia with a unique and odd story. In mid 80s there was a RHD Countach to be delivered to a Sultan from a small East Coast state in Malaysia located near Thai border. The problem was, he needs to pay the tax for him to take the car home from the Subang International Airport. He told the customs officers at the airport that he just wanna take the car for a short spin around the airport but he ended up drove all the way back to his palace in Kelantan from Selangor, the east coast. The other Lambo is a blue RHD Anniversary Countach which was bought by a very young malay banker. He did exposed the lack of security in the early years of digital online banking and the word was the Lambo was confiscated by the cops and after the trial and he went to prison. No one knows where the car ended up. I did saw the car in early 90s in an exotic cars showroom in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. With that being said, it wud be cool if u can trace those 2 cars from Malaysia with a weird back story. Some of US base used super/hyper cars dealer already got their connection with the people that takes care Sultan of Brunie collection. U need to tap on the other market in Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia bcoz not many westerners have any idea what type of unique super/hypercars lay hidden with low mileage and zero rust with cool back story waiting to be discover and the value in USD for those cars are realistically cheap compares to other market from Japan or Australia.

That's the Diablo I had a poster of! It only showed the front (with the doors and pop-up headlights up), side and interior and the specs were wrong but I later saw a video of it with custom dual exhausts in the centre of the rear and figured that was why only the front was pictured on my poster. That car is one-of-a-kind - I read somewhere that the wheel colour was a custom order from the original owner. Good to see it with the original 4 exhausts on it again - the best I've ever seen it!

Proof of these numbers doesn’t exist. But it’s estimated to be about 5% of total production is gated. And the common 50/50 splits for LHD/RHD. Unfortunately Lamborghini didn’t keep great records of specs at this time and this information will most likely never be know.
