dispel is a pretty useful white magic attack, it removes all defence buffs, it was a good choice to use it here, this anime is one of the best for certain!

why diablo hasnt any dispell on his book lol wasnt he a solo player, thats crucial for fighting mages as they will buff themselves until being immune to most elements or spells... the first season was nice but the second felt different... the animation was great thats not the problem but the story seemed a little bit off, lets hope the 3rd season can surpass both the 1st and 2nd... i think the creator himself should try some d&d with a sorceror or mage so he can have a more in depth understanding of their battles.

The second season didn't follow the events of the LN very closely. In the books, Diablo has a dispel wand that he uses against europa but it has a cooldown, and some other dude messed up his chance to attack, thus he has lumachina do it instead. Vishos also doesn't merge with europa, especially considering that the church arc they show here doesn't have europa in it at all, he doesn't appear until a few volumes later.

@@MinecraftGuy07928 ooo that sounds more logical.. i thought it was weird he was so worried about lumachina being the only one capable of casting dispell, but in the LN the situation was more desperate cuz he missed his triumph card for this situation so it makes more sense. so Vishos in LN was purely a cleric? I wonder how he fought instead of resorting to Europa, guess im gonna give it a read. This show is nice anyways despite those details... it brings me memories from Lineage 2 when fighting some PvP, great times, Cheers.

@@unskilled822 It's definitely worth giving it a read, and if you do, you'll notice how the course of events towards the end is almost completely different from the anime. They do still go to capital and confront the church, but europa isn't part of the arc at all. He doesn't show up until a few volumes later, but the anime put him in as the final boss because otherwise there wouldn't have been a climactic final fight, unless if they had more episodes to animate and covered the story up until the fight against the demon overlord. That would've made more sense, considering Diablo killed Varakness and he foreshadowed a fight with the demon overlord, but with only 10 episodes to work with, they couldn't make that the final boss without skipping a TON of story. They already skipped a lot of story already in this season, but at least they were able to make a coherent narrative out of it.
