Because here is the thing True dragons like Veldora and her sisters, as well Guy Crimson and Milim that's on their level are among the strongest entities of the verse especially at this point. You can see Rimuru struggling to hold Milim being playful at him during walpurgis, while Veldora can hold play around with her casually. Current anime season Rimuru hasn't grown stronger since then. And for your info, black and red primordials were on par with each other before both of them were named. Red can't kill black, while black can't really beat red. So it ended with stalemate for the most encounter. And now that crimson has been named and evolved as a true demon lord, their gap is astronomical until Rimuru grows stronger later on and Diablo gaining power via gift.
