I'm retired now but we were using oscilloscopes 40 years ago in the shops. The Sun 2000 was a very popular one back then.

Been using scopes for over 40 years. Started back in the mid 80's with an Allen Smart Scope, then a Bear BASE, Councilour, Sun Interogator and now PICO. Techs that don't use scopes are basing most of their repairs on guessing. Unfortunately the industry is rampant with the get the code and replace a part mentallity.

Watching videos like yours, super mario, and scanner danner got me into scopes. Right now I have a snap on and a autel mp408. I've only been using it for about a year but it has helped my diagnosing more than I could possibly predict

I got into the oscilloscope because it's a 4 week wait in the UK for a oscilloscope specialist and people buy time so you can charge a nice fee and still save the customer on down time and 4 weeks rentals or taxis also giving them the luxury of the vehicle back faster.

Hello Oscar. I'm using/Trying to learn how to use an Hantek 2D82 Auto. I've always been fiddling with electricity since I was younger. I spent a lot of time studying Nikola Tesla's work. And at some point that ran me into the oscilloscope. I've been studying off and on. It's one of the hardest things to learn by yourself. I really need to learn it because it's gonna open a lot of doors for me. I really appreciate your videos. I learn a lot more from your videos then I do from others. I would appreciate to learn more from you. Thank you for your time.

So you didn't solve the problem and could have only checked the spark plugs as always to find carbon deposits

Step up your game pal (oscilloscope is a must in modern workshop). You've missed the point. He diagnosed a problem before removing the plug. There are instances, where parts are "good looking" (nice, clean sparkplug for example), but it's bad (internal fault). You will never "diagnose" this just be looking (is it clean=good or dirty=bad logic).
