How many kilometers does that car have now? And what you think is the reason for this piston issue? Is it cause of piston rings burnt or oil ran out? The car has any oil loss problem?

Those 1.2 DIG-T engines are horrible. Weak timing chains and problems with piston rings and oil consumption. The older naturally aspirated Nissan/Renault engines are a whole lot better.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience with the 1.2 DIG-T engines. It's disappointing when engine issues arise, especially ones related to timing chains and oil consumption. Many users have reported similar concerns with certain turbocharged engines. It's worth noting that every engine design has its strengths and weaknesses, and manufacturers continuously strive to improve their technology. If you're considering another vehicle, researching engine options and customer reviews can help ensure a smoother ownership experience.
