Chad got me together. My daughter came home from school fan was running when the vehicle was off. Went to dinner came back it was still running and the battery was dead. I watched this video picked up the part at AutoZone for 17.00 including the catch tray. Took me 10 minutes to repair. I appreciate the info.

Why do they come with temp sensors if they dont come with a temp gauge on the dash instrument panel?

Doesn’t look like anyone responded but it comes with sensors so it can read the difference between the temperature of the coolant and temp of the engine to determine if there is a problem, and depending on what it finds throws different codes. I do agree I find it frustrating that the trax doesn’t come with a gauge showing the engine temp.

Thanks-just what I needed.Just wish my hands were smaller. Other issue with our Encore is non start at temps around 15-20 degrees and lower. The colder it is the harder it is to start until it just won't. It doesn't sputter or run rough, just either starts or it doesn't.

Sounds like it might be a battery issue. I’d swap out the battery for one that had higher cold start amps.

Hey, I also have a 2015 Chevy Trax and just recently got car repairs for the exact same issue..... now that my radiator sensor has been changed I also have a "change oil" message on the dash like you had... why is that?? Should I be very very concerned??

Hey Chad, I have replaced the radiator temperature sensor. However, I was told the engine temperature sensor is the same part. Where is it located. My 2020 trax is still overheating and I have replaced the water pump, the thermostat and two housings, so I am looking at replace the engine temperature sensor.

a Question , could you tell me where is the relay for the fog lamps I know where is the fuse is the number 36 but to connect the foglamps to the original switch i like to connect the fog lamps to the fuse box relay insted aftermarket switch thank you

Once my car is up to temperature, the fan will kick on but it won't shut off after that unless I shut the car off. The fans are not running when the car is cold, only when it gets up to temperature. The fan doesn't shut off once I reach temperature it just runs on low and then high. It's not overeating. I have an analogue water temp gauge and it's cooling the engine, according to the service manual, the fan should toggle back to the low speed at a certain temp. However, even after it reaches said temp, it remains spinning at high speed. There is no check engine light, therefore nothing for me to go off of. Could it be a coolant temperature sensor that's reading out of spec, but not so significantly that it would trip a code, but just enough for it to keep the high speed fan on?

@@NaeroK87 you had the same problem? the fan would turn on when it got to operating temp but wouldn't shut off? it's not turning on as soon as i start the car, it turns on once the car is warmed up but then wont shut off after that, ever. unless I shut the car off. You had the same problem? No engine codes or anything like that?

@@saifsaid6705 oh ok, yours is a bit different then. Mine would immediately start up as soon as I start the vehicle and then a few seconds after I shut it off.
