My one-month-old kitten was born with this issue, the veterinarian diagnosed her with fluid accumulation around her heart, and her survival is in danger 😢

Thank u, u were very helpful. I had a senior cat that was given to me by someone that could not take care of the kitty. Anyway I noticed one day that she was having a hard time to breathe. She loved to be outside n it was one hot summer day that I noticed her heavy breathing also she was wheezing a lot. To her to the animal hospital n they told me she wasn’t going to survive that day. It was sad that she passed but feel ok knowing that she didn’t suffer as much. Or like u say it’s no noticeable on cats. I have a chiweeny female, she has CHF n I see her having difficulty breathing on a daily basis. She’s on medication but I don’t really think. It’s working on her. Thank u for the info.👍

Thank you so much for this information, I have a 15 yr old jrt who sometimes does the gagging/coughing thing, especially when he jumps down from somewhere, like the bed. I haven’t taken him to a vet as of yet, kinda don’t want to put him on meds at his age anyways. What would you recommend for him if he does actually show heart issues? He is full raw fed most of his life, with lots of good supplements including a mushroom blend and dehydrated offal, especially heart and lungs.

Dr Judy have you ever heard of a rounded heart? About 6 months ago my 2yr old Boston Terrier experienced a seizure. The emergency room veterinarian mentioned after running all of the tests and X-rays that she had a round heart. She said that maybe it was typical of the breed but she didn’t know. I’ve tried to do searches for round or rounded hearts in Boston’s but it brings up heart failure. I haven’t been able to get any answers about this from her vet. She is very active with such a happy spirit. Fortunately she hasn’t experienced any other seizures but I think it’s important that we find out about this. Any thoughts or advice would be very appreciated
