Yeah, wd-40 would be a temporary fix for a week maybe and then it'll start doing it again and probaply the door would be in a worse shape, becouse it would still grind, but you just cant hear it anymore becouse of the wd-40. Use good grease and the noise stops with the grind.

Eh, the 5th gen cars i see dragging are even lower on launch and they tend to have a lot more power and dont have that problem with good axles. The real problem is the shitty splined axles design. Theres no reason for DSS not to have 4 solid beefy lugs with bearings around them to transmit that torque to the axle cup, instead of a fragile sprung cage around tiny splines.

Yo gavin just wanted to share that axles are wrongly rated for horsepower when that's not typically the case. Axles are rated by weight of the car, horsepower does come into play, the angle of the axles themselves like Doug explained, differential, and the tire youre running. Since the camaro makes about 600 horses (rounded) with how heavy the camaro is itself + pro charger, angle of axles, and best thing to do would be to run a biasply rear for it being a stick car👍🏽

GAVIN PLEASE GET HENDRIX OFFSET BUSHINGS! I make 532whp in my 2010 Camaro and I went through 3 sets of axles and 1 diff till I installed them. They correct the angle of the axles for lowered camaros. Only $160 you won’t regret it!

The thing is that you might be making more torque than what the axles are rated for and it may be a faulty axle to tho, both are possibilites

as you dont have offset diff bushing with lowered car the axles are at an angle that induces crazy deflection. now if you change to the right bushings it raises the diff so it corrects the angle, #RavensAutomotive

Stock parts are actually held to a higher standard then aftermarket parts a stock alternator for example has to do its rated output at 70% duty an aftermarket alternator has to be within 10% of its rated ability at 100% duty

The metal that everything is made out of these days is so soft. I work on trucks and there is a splined shaft the ones I put in theses days don’t last but three to six months. The old ones would run for two to three years before wearing out. I buy from same company same name brand and all only thing is they are triple the price and last 1/4 of the time they used to
