In this video, dialect coach Ruben Adery breaks down in detail the nuances of Spanish pronunciation and general use of language of three 2020 Democratic presidential candidates to show you how they really sound to a native ear.

what is the difference between "cada voz necesita ser escuchada" and "cada voz se necesita escuchar"?

Great question! Two ways to express the passive voice in Spanish - they mean the same thing. The second, often more difficult construction to master as a non-native, uses the passive SE, which comes off as more colloquial (and potentially more 'advanced'). You could also say "cada voz necesita escucharse' or even switch to active 'necesitamos escuchar cada voz'
