I was almost set on getting this rifle, ever since I got the Umarex Notos for my 12 yr old son. The I saw the FX DRS classic 700 mm and had to stretch my Budget 300 more dollars… I dont regret it, but I would had been happy with the Zelos.

You DO regret the FX for $300 more? Or you don't regret it? Do you feel the FX is worth $300 more?
@jonyqwoodworks3 ай бұрын
@@BillyBobTup sorry.. *don’t regret it. Honestly, I don’t know. I think the Zelos is a great gun for 600$… the ability to upgrade to a bottle with the Zelos is nice also. The quality feel of the FX is undeniable, but I haven’t personally seen a Zelos. Maybe I should had bought a Zelos instead 🤷🏽♂️

@@jonyqwoodworks You can pick up the zelos for a bit over $415 USD.

Nice video, very helpful. I am certainly no expert, but several other reviewers seem to target that 880 fps as the best all around speed for .22 or .25 pellets. Just a suggestion, rather than shoot 1 shot per bull , should do at least 3 to 5 shot groups to get a good idea how your rifle is shooting. I am about to buy one of these, however I think I am going to buy a snowpeak M60B instead, same rifle but you can get it with a bottle rather than that air tube. I really don’t like that look of Zelos compared to snowpeak, just my opinion. Keep up the good work. Thanks.

Great video, Zak! I was a bit disappointed with the previous testing, although really not bad considering a new rifle, plenty of wind, and seemed like the speeds were either too high or maybe even too low with the heaviest pellets(after you 1st adjusted down). But as soon as you hit those 880s, BINGO! You seem to have confirmed the oft repeated rule that between 860 and 890 is the most accurate velocity for pellets.

There is always lots of wind on the mountain I live on but in the newest video I think I am sticking with the 25gr JSBs at about 870fps for awhile.

Nice. Looking forward to if you ever do a bottle upgrade I have the same rifle same caliber. Enjoyed your video.

That last tune looked great! Leaning hard towards this gun, but I'm going to be mostly using it around the house for pesting and was wondering about this configuration for shooting offhand. How do you think it would be for offhand shooting with no forearm? I think I would eventually do the bottle conversion, and I guess the bottle would act as it's forearm?
@theshooterszone28 күн бұрын
@@ScottH22175 it's pretty light as it comes and easy to shoot but with the bottle and scope it starts to get a little heavy.

@theshooterszone Thanks, I was wondering about hand position, tho. All I've seen is it being shot with a bipod, not offhand. It seems the tube is what your left hand would hold? How does that feel?
@theshooterszone27 күн бұрын
@ScottH22175 It feels great. Bravo 3D does have a hand guard they make for it that slides over the stock tube and a few other accessories.

Yeah that wind at the target was pretty much going right and left. Am sure some of the flyers were because of that.
