I don’t think I’ve ever seen you as excited by an ink as you were in this review. It was delightful! I’ve ordered my own bottle and expect to use it mostly annotating and underlining printed and handwritten text. I’m not usually a fan of orange colors, but this one is an exception. It will stand out in contrast better than reds or greens while still being readable, and as you say, looks energetic and refreshing. If it bled badly or misbehaved in other ways I couldn’t use it, but thanks to your report I know I can trust it. Thank you. By the way, I finally found my favorite blue color in an ink: Monteverde’s Blue Velvet Cake, one of their Sweet Life series. It’s dark, intense, and has just enough green in it to make it gorgeous to me without going full screaming peacock. I couldn’t find a review of it in your listings, so I will look forward to seeing what you say when you get to it. There are some other nice colors in that group of six inks too, but this was the standout for me. Noodlers Bay State Blue reminds me of the extinct Parker Penman Sapphire not in its shade of blue - it’s much less green-leaning - but rather in its notoriety about staining and misbehavior. Monteverde Blue Velvet Cake reminds me of PP Sapphire in its lovely green-tinged blue intense color.

Generally, I edit out a lot of anything that might be "over the top" when describing an ink. But some inks are just so good there would be no avoiding it. Glad you found a blue ink you really like enough to commit to it. As far as a review of Monteverde’s Blue Velvet Cake, it will likely be a while as I don't currently have a sample. I will add it to my buy list and work on getting to it.

I have considered a scatter plot of dry time to viscosity. One way or another I need to see if I can have a format I am comfortable presenting to other people.
