Lake Tourmaline in Golden Ridge Reserve is currently the best place to land a Diamond Northern Pike in Call of the Wild: The Angler. You can use any rod, reel, and line capable of reeling in a 12 kilogram fish, but go with a #2 Swimbait for your lure. I typically use the Constant technique and reel at 3x speed. You can go for bigger lures, but a #2 Swimbait will only catch you Gold or Diamond Northern Pike in this location. Ideal time of day is typically 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., although I've caught Diamonds at all hours of the day in this spot. If you only want to catch Diamonds (No Golds), go with a 1/0 Swimbait.

Update.. Just got it! Thank you very much! For me at that time it was closer to the dock where you get a boat in this area, with #2 swimbait at x2 speed about 2pm ingame time. Still a "hotspot' after all this time :)

It takes time. I have days where I get two or three, and days where I get zero. Diamonds are difficult. #2 Swimbait, Constant technique, 3x speed. Just keep at it and you'll get one, if you haven't already.
