As one who loves confetti, I to use these techniques because it’s overwhelming at times, I love watching the painting come to life
@KS-xb3cg Жыл бұрын
When using the tip in tip out method, to combat the drill baby syndrome, I keep the current color And the last two in a tray. I just pop the container with drills in the tray and set it aside. My Biggest and most loved tip for confetti is to use a tray shelf and keep them ALL in trays. The only tipping is to replenish until I’m done. And I use big trays when I can so I’m less likely to spill.

Thank you so much. I am new at diamond painting and you helped me immensely. Still have lots to learn. I can’t wait to watch the rest of your videos. I couldn’t figure out what everyone was talking about confetti and you made it so simple for me. Thank you again.😊

Thank you, Cara, for this video. I just happened upon it at the best time because I am currently doing a confetti heavy canvas and was starting to get a little frustrated. I just started diamond painting a couple months ago and love it. Your tips will help me immensely when I continue with it…persevere is the motto…slow and steady.🥰

I've only just recently subscribed to your channel and was wondering when I had encoundered you before. Looking back, when I found this one, I see I never thanked you for these tips! It was SO early in my diamond painting journey I barely even knew what confetti was, much less that it is just good etiquette to thank a content creator for this kind of value! So thank you!!! Your tips hold even more value for me now that I am hopelessly addicted to this craft. I might have thanked you during one of your recent videos but just in case I didn't, thank you!💜🧚🏼♀️💜

Oh my gosh! You are so sweet to do that! I do this to share my journey and help fellow diamond painters along the way so this makes me so happy!! I’m now hearing from people who diamond painters on a slant so I’m trying to find something that can mark symbols on a slant! Stay tuned!!💕💕

Very helpful tips! You described things in a way, I would have never been able to. I use all of your methods, and have found the work great for me as well. There are people that teach well, and people that don’t. I’m not a very good teacher, because I sometimes struggle with HOW to describe it. You did an amazing job, to make it easier for others to learn by example.😍

Hi Carra (and Marlon), I love confetti but that’s not why I’m commenting! One way to get through confetti faster in your little section is to start with the darkest color first and then the next darkest and so on. That’s just my two cents. I hope it helps. Take care. 💜 Dawn

I do most of them. I can add one to your list. I tend to lay out the colors for the section I'm in. If I see it in the next section I leave it out.

Hey there Carra!! Thank you for sharing this helpful video!! One thing I have learned about myself is I really enjoy confetti, but it also causes me grief, lol When I begin an area, I attempt to locate the most populated symbol. Now... I am going to start concentrating on the small area and stop "trailing" and stay in the area. Instead of sitting there and pushing myself till I doze off and my rear goes numb, I will begin setting a timer to alert myself to get up and rest my eyes and move some blood. I have watched this a couple of times and again I can't thank you enough!! YES!! you have definitely helped me . I have a question, when you diamond paint with using the baggies, how do you handle the drills when they jump out at you. Personally, I don't work out of baggies, but it also takes me a good day to kit up. Between despising the process and trying to get the drier sheets in the containers, it literally takes me a full day. Actually, I don't despise the process if there is not static, but anymore it seems there is always static. Just wondered....sorry for the chapter book. Take care sweet diamond painting friend!!💕💕

I’ve discovered Static Guard spray. It works like a charm! It just takes a quick spray. I spray in the bag itself and spray my tray and wipe it down with a dryer sheet. It takes a few minutes to dry a little, but it works perfectly. It’s a spray you can find on the detergent aisle of a grocery store, Walmart or Target. I’m sure Amazon has it as well! Hope this helps!

This was great Carra! I do almost all the things you talked about. Breaks are a great way to get through areas that might get to be too much! I use release papers and even them out a row at a time!

Hi Cara, I am new to diamond art painting. I have never heard of diamond painting confetti. Is the confetti the name of the (type of) gem you are working with? I have picked up many tips from your videos. I am 66 years old and have never had a hobby of any kind. This is amazing!! Thank you so much for all your tips and making it all easy to understand. I don't do Facebook or Instagram because I do not know how. lol That is a beautiful piece you are working on. I look forward to viewing all your videos.
@theprincipalpainter16 күн бұрын
Hi there! I’m so happy you found me! So when we refer to “confetti” we mean a whole bunch of different symbols and colors mixed together on the canvas which means you will be changing colors of drills a lot more often. On the other hand, color blocking is when you have an area of all one color and can place drills a lot faster. Confetti is needed in canvases, however to get little details to look better. I hope that makes sense!
@hereinsideisthemetal5841 Жыл бұрын
Should start at top and work down. See how you're bending the bottom left corner? Because you're leaning on it. Roll up the parts you're done or switch to working at top

Great Video! Most of these tips have recently dawned on me as well, especially now that I’m too working on a very heavy confetti painting called “Sir Frederick Fox” by Calming Canvas Designs. The tip that has helped me more than any others though is to use Release Papers and section off a smaller (than you think you would need) area to work on at a time! It definitely makes you feel a sense of accomplishment when you get each section done and helps you realize your progress. More than that, it helps to enable you to see ALL of the symbols so you don’t have any new ones born that minute you look away! BTW, love this analogy! LOL!
