Hi Chik. Don't worry about double faced tape. It's just super sticky and you can't slide drills on it. It's fine, though. I've done a few. There's one I still have of a cat in a flower shop. I just don't want to work that image or I'd have completed it just because. Oh... I have a 40x70 petrifying angel I never unrolled. Yea... It's not the tape keeping me from working them, but I'd prefer poured glue like most every. Just do it. It'll be fine. Be extra cautious of the extra stickiness is all. Hugs.
