Hardcore Nuzlocke Rules:

4:36 poison doesn't kill in gen 4 overworld. it does deal damage over time, but if you aren't going to get into another fight before you can heal poison it doesn't matter. assuming you didn't know this though, correct play

you don't need to spam potions to keep a Pokemon from fainting to poison damage in gen 4, they always live on 1 hp
