The low power when not armed is a really good tip, makes a big difference as when you start flying the air flow and cooling gets a lot better.

I've wired mine today and my runcam racer nano has a grey screen, wired the cam to another vtx and it's fine, any idea what this could be?

Hi . Wondering if anyone could help with this. Got a NEW Diamond VTX, mod my Mobula7, the DVR records fine. But the TX is horrible. Drops signals even when I rotate the drone right in front of me. Very grainy VTX on my goggles. When I swap the VTX with another, everything is fine. Is there something about the Diamond VTX that I’m missing here? Thanks

Is the antenna connected correctly? Did you use the same antenna as on the other VTX? Are you sure you're on the correct frequency?

@@AlbertKimTV Hi Albert, I figured out that the power was at zero somehow. Can't seemed to set it using Betaflight. whatever I set gets lost after saving. Then I manually set it using the button and now it comes on beautifully .... BUT ... strangely, the Goggles sometimes after initially getting the signals strong and clear cannot lock on to it. After cycling through 3 beeps, I sometimes end up with a snowy screen. Yet when I power off and on again, one of those power-ups will ledge on correctly and works great. I changed nothing at all. I still can't figure that out yet.

As follow through I will post on the problem I had. Strange as it may sound, I did a power up and power down on my Eachine EV200d a few times. One of those power up will ledge onto the VTX properly. So long as I don’t power down my goggles, it doesn’t matter how many times I switched batteries on my drone, the signal is received as it should. I guess it may be the EV200d.

a little help please.. the red led near the record button never comes on, no light at all. doesn't respond when i put in sd cards, ive tried fat, and exfat nothing makes the led come one. it recorded the first few flights but since then nothing. how do i bring it back to life? otherwise the vtx works perfectly and i have the otrher 3 leds on the other side come one fine. can push the other button and it changes channels fine and all that, just cannot update firmware or record video.

So that LED was working before but not now? Or was never working in the first place?

@@AlbertKimTV it worked before. Now won't go on no matter what. Other button does work, changes the channel, but the record button doesn't work not does the led right next to it.

is it possible to use the part without drone? i play paintball and i want a cam inside my mask. on the one hand, my teammates should see where i am and what i do about a fpv watch. and record that stuff for a video with the sd card slot

Yes, you don't have to use this in a drone. Just needs power and camera. It will need airflow if you're powering it over 25mW.

Yeah, in 720p mode, it always records in 16:9 format no matter what so you'll need to correct the aspect ratio in post processing.

My issue with diamond to at came with the Larva is that the dvr button bent on a hard landing when the vtx dislodged from the pinch nut supports and button broke agianst nearby screw. Watch out. I should have known when I started acting up. (responding to button sparatically) then finally came off on a light push after 10 lipos. Other thann that... awesome!! Still going after40 lipos

Would have liked you hit on tje subject of tje dvr button. If that takes a light hit combined with the high temperature the button will have weak solder joints and a slight push could be enough to interfere with contAct of solder joints of bitron

Nd tje dvr feature won't work. The vtz will but tje red dvr light LED will send blink

Does anyone know how to configure this VTX to work over softserial? A year ago I remaped my LED_STRIP pin to be used as a softserial and I've been successfully using it with my frsky R9MX receiver (F.PORT) to this day. So I know this PIN (LED_STRIP) is properly remapped and works well. But now I flashed this R9MX receiver with ExpressLRS firmware and it uses different type of communication (CRSF). So I moved it to an actual serial port (RX, TX) and now I want to connect my VTX's smart audio wire to that softserial LED_STRIP pin. What's interesting is that in the Betaflight -> Video transmitter menu it says "Device ready - Yes". If I understand this correctly, it means that Smart audio should be working properly. Setting serialrx_halfduplex and serialrx_inverted to any combination/permutation doesn't change that status. It always says "Yes".But the VTX commands don't seem to go through in any inverted/halfduplex combination. VTX just doesn't receive any command (channel, band, power... nothing). VTX table is configured correctly, because it properly works if VTX is connected to a real serial port. Is there any other option/setting in the Betaflight CLI that I could try modifying - maybe some delay or speed or something?

Have you tried this with a different FC? I think there's something up with the FC you're using.

The VTX won't transmit audio so no way unless you do a bunch of mods.

Hey sorry about posting this thing again My diamond vtx is not able to transmit video i try to autosearch on every channel and not able to find any, however, all the leds for recording and changing channel and band are working fine even dvr was able to record properly I tried everything what do you think might resolve this issue Thank you so much

The crash probably damaged the board. Perhaps one of the small components came off.

Though not perfect, maybe Conformal Silicone Coating may help secure most of the components.

Mine won't record I tried formatting it , the red light is always on never changes I tried re downloading and extracting the file multiple times made sure the card was formatted first, I don't know what else to do

Is the red light flashing or solid all the time? Is it ever off? Same whether you have a card in there or not? Was it in a crash? Have you tried a different card?

Hi Albert, I bought two of these and a runcan nano 2 camera. On both when I do channel search, when I find the channel I get a black screen. Do you think that the new camera has a faulty image sensor? It's the only thing I can think of.

Ta Albert ,. set vtx_low_power_disarm=on . Another pearl of wisdom at the right time . I been having this issue with my 6s 3 inch Droner , the thing gets hot quickly and I was wondering how to turn the vtx down , knowing I could put it on a switch for pit mode but this sis far more practical and eliminates an extra switch function .

You have the port set to Smart Audio and not IRC Tramp? Make sure you have the correct UART configured. If the setup is not correct, it doesn't matter what you put into the CLI as the commands never make it into the VTX so don't do anything.

how long does the firmware upgrade take? I didn't see the LED blinking when trying the firmware upgrade - it would just stay off. I waited 30 more seconds and then disconnected power. After powering up again (still with firmware update on sdcard in) the LED would light up and stay solid. When I put the card back into my PC i noticed the VTX created a folder labeled "DCIM", so it seems to be doing something. I am using a 16GB Sandisk U3 SD card, but tried others for recording as well. Any ideas what else I can try?

the emax nano just came out in a UFL connector style, probably 1/2 or less weight than the URUAV and or lollipop/ axii and all 3 of my diamond dvr/vtx work perfectly, antenna not the best, upgrade for sure

mine was working fine until I ran out of space, after I deleted some of my flights It will no longer record, just a solid red light all the time, pushing the button does nothing. The card is still recognized in my computer
