I agree with you on dry firing. I don't do any of them I have and certain ones like ruger's SR22. As long as you got a magazine in there, you can drive fire unloaded magazine but I don't drive fire any of them. I have a 597 Remington rifle did I relax a trigger when I do on that one? Is I pull the bolt back a little bit and let just like not hit nothing and it'll click and take it off the spring but anything other than that if I do it I usually stick a wall anchor in it. I'm too cheap to buy snack caps lol. Good video. You covered everything you did to the other one and with the newer different on the new one. As usual, Y'all have a good day

I watched your old review about how it had 3 light primer strikes with the .22 magnum cylinder , have you had any more issues with it since? And would you recommend loading Federal Punch either in LR or WMR in the Sidekick?

Reminds me of the High Standard Sentinel with the round butt grip and 3" barrel. Except the Diamondback's frame is made of Zamak while the HS Sentinel's frame is aluminum alloy, therefore is much lighter. The Diamondback's trigger is the deal breaker, unless it can be improved somehow. Thanks for the test and excellent video.

@@NeekoKid - I have quite a few and the better ones have smoother trigger pulls than others. H&R/NEF got around this problem by making massive hammers to ensure ignition. Trigger pulls are decent for cheap revolvers. Taurus .22 LR revolvers have some of the worst triggers and S&W probably the best.

And it's not just a heavy pull. It's very inconsistent. I can deal with a heavy trigger and shoot it well. I can't do much with something that stacks sometimes and doesn't others. I have had the exact same issues that you mention on my standard model. I bought one after seeing what I thought was a fair review when these were first released. That person did not mention the issues of the absurd double action. I could not believe how bad it was. I have almost never ever got it to fire properly with double action. However it does fire most of the time single action. Although I have had a lot more FF than you did apparently. Out of a 200 round box I bet I had at least 25 FF it is also CCI Mini-mags. a very reliable ammo. I was hugely disappointed with this firearm. I will never ever purchase from this company again.

Thanks for sharing your review of this gun. You are an excellent shot to be hitting anything with one of these. I bought one recently, and it is the most inaccurate revolver I have ever owned. Mine has some of the same issues you are having in addition to the inability to eject shells in the 22 lr cylinder. I have a return shipping label and am getting ready to send mine back. Unfortunately, I am not optimistic that the gun is fixable to suit my liking. Even more, it should have never passed QC before leaving the factory in the first place. Nonetheless, I bought it and am stuck with it. I DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS GUN TO ANYONE! It is a $175 gun with a $300 price tag. No offense meant to your review, though. You did an excellent job hitting with it. My first shots off the bench were keyholing with about a 15" group at 10 yds. Stupid bad accuracy. Thanks again for sharing.

@@buffalosoutdoors my experience with those two cylinder cheaper guns hasn’t been that great. They sort of seem like they cheaped out the engineering to fit two cylinders, but, as you pointed out, they do go bang. I tried the heritage and didn’t like it. Guess I’m a gun snob. I do have the Ruger 38/357-9mm two cylinder however and like it quite a bit. Very nice SHTF gun but not cheap.
