Check out the new Diamond Mounter merch!
cbilton.creato... For many years I have been using something to help me make pieces that has been very very useful more times than I could ever remember.
It isn't designed to be used by jewellers though and to this day remains relatively unknown in the jewellery trade.
Its extremely cheap and even a small amount will last many years.
Im still only half way through the first piece I ever got and that was in 1998!
Please watch the full video as there is very important information in it that you need to know so you can get the correct and safe to use material!
/ @diamondmounterbites8861
Check out the new Diamond Mounter side channel!
Its called 'Diamond Mounter Clips'
Its compiled of short clips taken from previous videos to
highlight useful techniques and information I was teaching.
No intros, no outros just straight to the essence of what
was useful in the video!
I am now on Patreon!
With patrons support I will be able to offer far more information than I am currently able to.
With nearly 25 years of knowledge gained in the jewellery trade working with some of the best diamond mounters in the UK I can train practitioners of jewellery making, up to and far beyond the skill level found in High Street jewellers workshops.
Become a classic patron you will not only be able to view part 2 of full instructional guides but also be thanked personally on the next youtube upload! You will also have access to all future uploads 2 weeks before they go live on youtube.
Official patrons have all the benefits of a classic patron but also gain access to regular exclusive content. Behind the scenes, personal jewellery projects Im working on, I share ideas for future videos, photos and stories from throughout my career as a professional jeweller.
Also Official patrons are welcome to suggest ideas for future videos and contact me anytime if they need advice for their own jewellery making endeavors.
Classic patronage is just £5 a month and to become Official costs only £10 a month.
I believe this is great value.
As the number of full instructional guides continues to grow the value will be even more considerable.
www.patreon.co...
There is now an entry level tier which costs just £1 a month.
Its named the supporter tier which allows you to support the channel with out any substantial financial obligation. I will thank you personally on the next Diamond Mounter video uploaded.
I have been lucky enough to have been taught by some of the UKs most accomplished diamond mounters and my ambition is to share what I have learned through out my career to as many people as possible.
My vehicle to do this is the Diamond Mounter KZbin channel.
If you appreciate the video content and find the information useful then why not become a patron and support its growth!

Thank you,
C.Bilton

Heard you struggle with pronunciation of the latent health condition. It is pronounced - Me-so-thee-lee-oh-me-ah. Here in the States, it is quite commonly associated with people who worked in coal mines as well as exposure to asbestos. Great tip!

I’m going to have to try this, but I think I’m going to run the material through a coffee bean grinder while it’s dry. I wager a uniform consistency in the wetted version may offer a more *cementing* property for whatever your working on…🤔

I’ve heard of a similar tip that is always asbestos free , and great for cat owners. Kitty litter, unused obviously! I think it has to be the clumping kind. I’ve not tried it but I think I may now I’ve seen your vid. Apparently, kitty litter is also good as a base layer under metal when annealing too. Who knew?!
