My oldest son just told me this has been his ring tone for me for many years. I was touched. He is in his early 50's, and I have been praying for him and his siblings for many many years just as my Mama prayed faithfully for me and my siblings. Mama's don't forget to pray for your children, they still need you.

It’s a hard lesson.. worked for a fortune 100 company for the dollar and the nice home & cars, etc.. because it’s what my father wanted to see in me... but it wasn’t my passion, did it for “everyone” and told myself it was what I always wanted. I later learned (still one foot in and one foot out, even today), that happiness is temporary, things may make you excited for a time, but all of it eventually wears off. It’s now 40 years later and now I’m trying to understand that long lasting happiness comes from being grateful for what you have, your health, the few people in your life and the joy in your heart is what really matters. It’s never going to be things, it’s all about your family’s love, nothing is greater than that

This song here hits Home Big time for sure. Because at one time in my life I was on drugs really bad and was Homeless and always in trouble with the law all the time. But I think I should of been dead a long time ago. Because of all the drugs I was using and the life I was living. But I think it was my Grandma's Prayers every single day and every single night for Me is what kept Me alive. And I think that is the Gods Honest truth thou. But thank Goodness I don't live that life anymore. I have been sober since 2018. Yes I know that is not a long time. But at least I am still Sober thou. And I am not going back to that life style anymore that is for sure.

Didn't have much when I was young, I remember more then a few times seeing mom counting pennies to make sure dad would have enough gas to get to work and back. Might not have had a lot of the things that the other kids had when it came to material things but we knew mom and dad loved us. Mom loved when the dogwood and redbud trees would start blooming, she's been gone 15 years now but every spring when I look out across these West Virginia hills and see the colors coming on I wish she were here to smile about it, lol.
