@katywilkins17786 жыл бұрын
Well he was proved right actually. She was killed for political reasons involving corruption and a war criminal was arrested in Belgium for her murder or the ordering thereof. A former Rwandan political figure called Mr Z or Mr Zed. She was on the verge of outing the illegal taking of the animals by the powerful elite of the country, and this sociopath was also pissed at her keeping tourists away from the gorillas for the gorillas’ safety. This same person was involved in the genocide of 800,000 Tutsis and Hutus (spelling not guaranteed correct, so apologies) in Rwanda, so ordering the murder of one “eccentric” woman was just a blip on this guy’s radar. If that. The machete was just a finishing touch to imply poachers. There was so little blood from the splitting of her skull, it is likely she was dead before the blow hit her brain.
@screamingtima13186 жыл бұрын
Katy Wilkins Why was she keeping tourists from the gorillas? What right did she have considering the money used from tourists went and goes to the park. There is much I do not know about Dian Fossey, but I am learning. Do you think people should be kept away from the gorillas? I’m torn. Habituation means gorillas have no fear of us, which means no fear of poachers, but money is needed to sustain the parks.

The world is intrigue with irony. A person of great animal passion n accredited for saving the mountain gorilla specie. During Diane’s life time, she risk her life in the wild jungle by interacting with the gorillas in their own habitat. Though her death is not by the wild gorillas that could tear her to pieces like a rag doll. Diane’s killer will remain in mystery. What we do know is by the same hand with compassion to sacrifice one’s own for another, also ended Diane.

If Wayne Maguire knows who killed Dian, why doesn't he speak up? I think he would've, since he was blamed for her murder.
Somebody knows of her killer; that, I'm certain of. The conversation was somewhat evasive, which suggests they're hiding something. It's tragic, though; all she wanted was to protect the gorillas ... & then someone murdered her (possibly because they couldn't get what they wanted or they disliked her methods & behaviour towards people). At least her remains are well protected by her beloved gorillas & her message got out to the world. RIP Dian Fossey, protector of an endangered species... ✨❤️✨
@Multi24Gaming7 жыл бұрын
Have you read about how she captured poachers and lashed them with nettle, and how he ordered all of her fellow researchers to carry guns with them at all times...to protect the gorillas. And how she lured small native children away from home as punishment to their parents for being involved with poaching? If not look it up. She's not all charm.
@rachelhunter36007 жыл бұрын
+Multi2-4Gaming Yeah, I heard that she apparently went a bit "mad" because she isolated herself for such a long time & forgot how to be sociable. I can sort of understand the things she did (in a way), because in her mind, at least; it was justified punishment for what they were doing to the gorillas. I'm not saying that it was a good thing or even acceptable in any way; because it definitely wasn't okay to lure children away from their parents (& the whipping with nettles was totally unacceptable). You have to admit, though; she did ward off the poachers well enough & still managed to prevent gorillas from becoming extinct entirely. And I'm pretty sure the poachers weren't the friendliest of people, either (in fact, it was probably one of the poachers who went & murdered her; perhaps they were even paid to do it). I reckon some may refer to Dian as a "diamond in the rough", because of her bipolar personality with rough edges & a soft heart for her beloved gorillas. I do think her isolation is what changed her & made her seem quite inhuman at times, but I believe she was mentally ill by that point & probably beyond "the point of no return". I doubt it matters much now, though, since she is no longer alive. At least her legacy for the sake of the gorillas will continue & they will be protected in her name (even if she WAS seriously & mentally disturbed, any charities in her name would all be for a good cause & that cause is the protection of "her gorillas")...💕✨❤️✨💕

+Jacob Santana Does it really matter? I mean, Dian isn't exactly around to speak for herself (& it doesn't seem like she had much in the way of family either, except for her gorillas ... & THEY can't exactly give any info about her). Because of that, how would ANYONE get any solid proof of what she did/didn't do? All there is to rely on is what you'd find online, in historical/biographical books or in the movie based on her story ("Gorillas In The Mist", with Sigourney Weaver as Dian Fossey; which I thought she played incredibly well). If you can find anything else more reliable than any of these things, I'd be happy to hear about it. Otherwise, it's probably for the best to just let her rest in peace...

As far as the ransacking, that was done after the attack, in a panick stricken attempt to find whatever was at stake. Somebody more than likely snuck in during the night hours and murdered her in her sleep. A swift brut force to her face with the machete. Thereafter was a few moments of stress surching with the possibility of finding what was at stake?..Sad and truly disturbing. This is just my observation.
