The performances are prerecorded, it is impossible to sing with the costume on, but all the vocals are her, there is a behind the scenes video where you can see her do parts of this in the studio. As for recognition, this was the 8th episode of the show and she was instructed by the production to use her natural timbre from the 6th episode onward so after the 6th episode everyone could recognize her but before that she used every range and every technique possible to change up her vocals to became unrecognizable. For 5 straight episodes it was like you were listening to a different singer each time, at the 9th episode she even sang Opera a genre that people never heard from her before and she nailed it. She was 19 years old during "The masked singer" show. Cool reaction as always, if you are interested in something recent, she will release a new song called "Oh, don't cry" you will find it on her channel after the 15th of November, it is expected to be her best song of the year and it would be interesting to see you be one of the first who would react to it, if you are interested this is a heads up for me, have fun.

This is a very special young singer. I appreciated your discussion. I have seen all your Diana reactions and believe it or not, you have just scratched the surface, so far. Yet, I think that she is still just scratching the surface of where she will take her art and her iconic voice. She is really ending 2024 with some incredible works that demonstrate incredible versatility. Here recent televised cover of Sting's "Dessert Rose" is nothing less than incredible. Your reaction was very good, especially the communication style of yourselves was really cute. Sweet Dreams was a synth-pop masterpiece hit initially by Eurythmics which was performed in 1983. It's worth watching. Diana as you witnessed, just killed it! Any song that she covers, turns to a new masterpiece! Her voice cuts our skin and penetrates inside our body.

For the first five performances on this show, she disguised her voice to sound like five different people. With the sixth performance, California Dreaming, she was told by the producers to stop disguising her voice. With that performance, everybody knew that the Ermine was Diana. The next day the video showed up on KZbin and I knew about it on the other side of the planet. Then the TV network went on a campaign to snuff out all the KZbin channels posting the videos. Then the judges pretended not to recognize her so she could continue through the ninth performance. The performances were pre-recorded. It is not practical to sing while in that costume. She was 19 years old at the time. She made a vlog of her experiences during the nine weeks of the show. These "Masked Singer" performances were recorded in early 2023, a few months before her 20th birthday. My personal favourite was her 7th performance where she sang "Я тебя отвоюю" (I Will Win You Back), which was based on an early 20th century poem by Marina Tsvetaeva. When she started she hid her true vocals but by the end she demonstrated her true VOCALS. Remember there are SANCTIONS effectively so this was filtered so Reactors don’t receive COPY STRIKES. DIANA ‘s original live performances were taken down and KWSTAS has put them up for her so they can still be REACTED too. As a fan for over five years I don’t agree with the SANCTIONS from both Country’s it just effects DIANA ANKUDINOVA and an other artists from RUSSIA. I listen to many originals by DIANA. All the performances are pre-recorded, it's basically just a visual acting performance during the song. There is a microphone inside the mask taped to her cheek, but that is only for interacting with the jury panel. Diana's has a behind the scenes video called Secrets of Ermine which is a pretty interesting account of her time on the show, rehearsals, interactions etc.
