В нашем шоу-бизнесе преобладает не голос, а деньги. За все надо платить(и не мало), даже за выступления на каких-то концертах или праздничных шоу, а у нее их нет. As far as her career, I am PRETTY SURE that Diana wanted to finish school first (but maybe her adopted mom just forbade her from doing anything until she finished school, I don't REALLY know, there is so much conjecture). If Diana herself wanted to finish school, then I HAVE to applaud her for the very adult decision, it shows HUGE insight. We know she is intelligent but thinking that far ahead is amazing.

At 13! She entered her first kids contest in Russia where she sang a song that required masterful yodeling. It was a masterpiece, a tour de force, some say one of the best yodeling performances on any talent show but in this performance it was the controversial aftermath that prompted the audience to give her a 5 minute Standing Ovation and caused a scandal and shouts of Diana being “ robbed”. The following day when it appeared on you tube 50 million people spit on the judges and it was revealed that the contest was fixed and the winner already predetermined and caused a major scandal. Anastasia, first; I love your eyes and the accent. That said, Diana had a very difficult childhood. Her mother didn't want her and very nearly killed her. She was thrown out of her home at around 3 or 4 years with a broken arm, in the winter. If it had not been for some other family members she wouldn't be alive today. The lady you see off stage in one of these shows is her adoptive mother, who got Diana singing lessons to help her be able to speak again. I am pretty sure you can find information on this that is more accurate and extensive than what I have at hand. Oh, and Igor Krutoy provided the apartment for Diana and her adoptive mother I believe for the duration of the episodes of this show while Diana was performing. The show is for disadvantaged or abused children. Next, thank you (Spasiba Basho), for recognizing Diana's amazing contralto voice. I honestly believe you are the first of many reactors I watch regularly, that has made that connection. I had followed her for some time, but unfortunately when she was accepted to University,I lost track. Now, I have seen her as a performer/judge on "The Show Must Go On!", which is another game show in Russia. Keep reacting to her, she has a LOT more out there to see. Так как Диана не говорила, приёмная мама стала водить её на уроки пения--это с 4 лет , значит наша Диана занимается вокалом, а узнали мы, все её поклонники, когда её было 13 лет, она на детском конкурсе "Голос" исполняла песню "Иодль тайм", но продажное, невежественное жюри свои кресла к Диане не повернули, чем вызвали у публики в зале бурю негодования. I think, due to her lower range and the tone quality of her voice, no pop producer knows what to do with her. The thing that I love above her is she is so talented that without wearing sexy cloths or acting stupidity, she just grab your soul and take to her universe. I found this amazing singer yesterday, and fell down a rabbit hole. From what I can make out she has not long finished her exams and wants to go to university, she has also crowd funded an album, she does have a vocal coach. And Igor Krutoy is behind Dimash, who also, I believe, does not have a music label, and Dimash is becoming huge. I get the feeling that she has been advised to do what a lot of new artists are doing, and that is staying away from the music industry and doing it themselves. The internet has opened up the world to great artists that would have never seen the light of day otherwise. It allows them to do what they want, and express themselves the way they want and not what someone in an office who is chasing the money wants. As you said, the music industy can rip you appart and try and make you somthing you are not. For me now music labels are only really going to be for the big artists that have the power to tell a label what they want, the likes of Metallica or Elton John. With his song "Tajikistan" she represented Russia at the official celebration of the 30th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan. Thank you for your insightful reaction. I would love to hear your reaction to two songs that Diana sang. The first one is a song called SOLDIER YOU SURVIVED. She sang in honor of the veterans from The Great Patriotic War. The second song is called BY/WITH YOUR VOICE. She sang this song with Brandon Stone. Mr. Stone has written several songs for Diana. Diana has just started her 2nd year at University (G.I.T.I.S.) in Moscow. She is also working to improve her English language skills. She did just sing in from of a very large stadium in Tajikistan to celebrate the 30th anniversary of that Country. I had heard she was planning on coming to the West after she graduates from University. That idea makes sense to me. With more musical credentials and time to improve her English. She will be a huge star here in the West. At age 22 or so. Please stay safe.

да, интересно услышать реакцию русского человека, погруженного в штатовскую жизнь. я бы еще обратил внимание на то, что йодль не является частью русского фольклора, ну т.е. никаким образом, а тем не менее... очень смелое и главное уместное решение Дианы и тех людей, которые помогали ей на этом конкурсе. еще я бы смягчил вашу оценку того, как складывалась профессиональная карьера Дианы. По-моему, все отлично складывается, всем бы талантам в мире быть вовремя замеченными и получить поддержку от таких состоявшихся и действительно замечательных людей как Крутой, Дробыш, Лазарев, Арбенинина, Моргулис и многие, многие другие. Диана широко популярна в России уже минимум 2 года. Также она принята в узком круге культурной элиты, участвует в квартирниках, регулярно бывает в бардовском кафе "Гнездо глухаря", некоторых других не очень людных, но значимых местах. В Москву (да, в подаренную квартиру) она переехала с мамой именно для продолжения учебы (в ГИТИСе), причем предложений было несколько (хотя институт им.Гнесиных в итоге отказался, подозреваю, просто потому, что у них нет подходящего педагога по вокалу для драматического контральто). Для Дианы пишут несколько человек, больше всего песен специально для нее написано Брендоном Стоуном. Отгадайте, кто их познакомил. И круг желающих работать вместе с ней все растет. На подходе ее первый диск, этот проект полностью самостоятельный (на краудфандинговые средства, с большой переподпиской), не связанный ни с какими обязывающими контрактами. Замечен интерес к Диане на самом верху правительства (думаю, песня Далиды на арабском появилась в ее репертуаре не случайно, да, и "Таджикистан" на этот интерес указывает). Через несколько дней начнется ТВ-шоу с масками "ШоуМаскГоуон", на котором Диане выступит с несколькими новыми песнями. Не пропустите! И все это при том, что Диане лишь 18 и у нее еще есть интерес и к сочинительству, и к режиссуре. Хватило бы на все сил !!! Главное, мне нравится, что она не полагается на долгосрочные контракты со всякими продюсерами и звукозаписывающими студиями. Такая практика для молодых творческих людей не обязательно/всегда ведет к хорошим результатам. Ну, западный шоубиз вы лучше меня знаете. А к российскому у меня особых симпатий нет, это вотчина нескольких человек, от отсутствия общения с которыми Диана ничего не потеряет.

I agree with you that she is not huge all over the world as she should be and i also do not know if the Russian showbusiness has to be blamed for that, but from my understanding she chose to finish school first before trying to really get in the whole showbusiness stuff, also covid was and still is an issue the recent years. Now that she turned 18 though you can see that she is doing things, she was called to sing for the 30 year independence anniversary of Tajikistan and also will be on a new show that will start in a few days. I like your reactions to her because except being a singer yourself, you are also a Russian and you can provide a unique perspective on the subject. I would like to see your opinion on other Diana's performances and thank you.

There is a problem of the "establishment" in the entertainment business in Russia - turn on any show and you get the same old talent-less people all the time and many of them can't sing but are "IN" - it really is a mess and there is little room for new talent, especially someone who does not produce the same garbage as they do.

@@mike6174 Yes it's true. I really hope that the situation will change. This year, the composition of the "New Wave" has changed a lot. It was really the absolute diversity of all generations of stars, including absolutely fresh faces. And this is not only Dimash, who, of course, was the main decoration of the festival. In his interview, Igor Krutoy said that when forming a concert program, he also has to take into account those artists whom he cannot refuse for one reason or another. And although the names were not named, this is a rather bold frankness of Igor Krutoy.

There was also a party rep present. I was, of course, very diplomatic in my comments. The Cosmonaut was not. He said exactly what he felt about every subject, and the party guy kept getting redder and redder. But he couldn't do anything. The Cosmonaut was a Hero of the Soviet Union :).

I have watched Russian KZbinrs react to this number, but in Russian (which is sadly a Language I can’t speak) and I can not understand a thing they say. When Diana sings she is a true performer..She commands the stage and captivates the audience..She has a true gift from God!! Thank you for not only a great reaction to this video by Диана, but also for your tremendous insights and explanations. You have quite a perspective on both her singing and the song itself since you speak Russian and a singer yourself. I only know a limited amount of Russian so I can not even read all the subtitles. I have read the English lyrics so I do know some of the meaning of the song. Nothing like you however. I do notice Диана has what sounds like even cleaner vocals in her native language as I am sure most people do. Just curious to ask you 2 questions if you read this, have you ever sung this song yourself or do you ever sing in Russian? Just curious how different that would be than when you sing in English. She was given the apartment in Moscow so she could attended collage with no worries. Which she is doing now. She is on her second year at GITIS. Her formal education is very, very important to her. She has turned down contract offers because of this.. in Dec 2021 she is releasing her first album. It was completely crowd funded by her fans. She received over 230% of what she required to produce the album herself and Brandon Stone. The album is supposed to have some English songs as well. She just recently release one song called DUDUK. Where it is sung in a whisper is like the words of a deceased mother, because in Russia since ancient times it was believed that the river is the border between the world of the living and the dead, as in the mythology of others countries. "Не колыбнешься" - не шелохнёшься, не двинешься, не подвигаешься. У славян слово КОЛЫБА означало временное убежище, временное жилище. По аналогии левая рука родившей женщины (почему левая надеюсь объяснять не надо) так же называлась КОЛЫБА, ею она укачивала-успокаивала ребёнка и слово КОЛЫБель (в ней укачивали ребёнка) производно от первоначального КОЛЫБА. И рука и колыбелька - временное убежище-жилище ребёнка. Вот как то так. Надеюсь не зря писал. :)
