I love how her platinum blonde hair almost glows in the old black and white photography. There was an interesting take I once heard about fragmentation of the mind. It was by a woman Cathy O'Brien who had a very controversial experience, some believe her, some don't. She spoke of people like Marilyn and other stars as been products of "governmental" agencies. Stating that with females during early childhood trauma as a survival mechanism, the mind fragments, creating the multiply personality. This not only made for the excellent "honey pot" to attract those with power but the fragmentation, with a handler and key words, made them excellent at retaining information and secrets. You have a beautiful voice, you'd make great ASMR videos with your lovely voice.

She could actually act, she made a film called 'Yield to the Night' aka 'Blonde Sinner' in 1956, which is a really powerful film thanks to her fine performance. @@BLTKellys She really was! The close ups of her eyes full of pain and sorrow is something very hard for an actor to convey. It has to come from a real place to be convincing and we really feel her pain when she is in prison. SPOILER ALERT for youtubers who haven't seen the film...... Diana played a complex character, she is both a villain and a victim. A villain because she is an adulterer and murderer, and a victim because she is a young, kind, decent person who couldn't handle her infatuation and snapped because of it. The worst part was when she is in prison and she was never allowed to sleep with the light off and therefore she could never get restful deep sleep. It is considered a form of torture that eventually affects her emotions and mind. Add to that the uncertainty of her outcome. The way we care about her character is thanks to Diana's portrayal.

Ovarian cancer is linked to baby powder (talcum powder) used on the vulva. Women used to use baby powder in their area, it was also commonly used on baby girls. I've never listened to your channel before, but I'm loving it ! One thing that caught my attention is when you said that multiple partners has something to do with cervical cancer and other things down below. I was blown away when you said that because I have been associating the two to myself for many, many years...never having the time to actually look into it or read. But I've always felt very strongly that one had to do with the other and I don't think many women realize this. Thank You for that. You have a new fan !

Think you for bringing Diana Doors to to the attention of your viewers/followers. She like many of the Screen Goddesses had a life of Glamour and excess but also tough times regarding abusive partners and money woes and the struggle to be taken seriously as an actress. But like all these amazing women she persevered and eventually did find love and launched a successful "comeback" career later in life with more serious , character driven roles and was able to reprise a bit of her early glamour by starrring as The Fairy Godmother in Adam Ant's classic and camp as Christmas "Prince Charming" music video a few years before her passing.

Thanks for the deep dive into the life of Diana Dors! She lived large and ultimately paid for that in several ways, but I think one question worth pondering is would you have rather been invited to an overnighter at the Dors household or to a weekend spiritual retreat with the archbishop? Considering that both options might involve inappropriate advances and pressure to consent, I think I'd rather take my chances with the former. ;)
