It was such a delight to watch this well put together video about Diana, my personal style icon, too! A couple of years ago I bought the black sheep red sweater. I love it and wear it as often as I can during the cold Winter months. Pink gingham is a Spring favorite that I pull out of my closet each year.

I don’t think I’ll ever forget Princess Diana’s black revenge dress after she separated from then Prince Charles. It was so stunning, so chic, and she was beaming with confidence. In fact, she became an even more beautiful style icon in the years following their divorce. She had great taste.

I love Diana’s style and now love Kate’s style even more! You did a great job on recreating Diana’s looks. The only one I might avoid is the collegiate sweatshirt with biker shorts. I guess I’m just too familiar with seeing it on college girls today that it seems a bit young for my taste. I’m the same way with mini skirts. To each her own I guess! I feel that Diana became more of a really classic dresser after she and Charles separated. For the first few years some of her outfits were overdone, too many frills, just too much, like that wedding dress!. But once separated, she really came into her own, with sleek fitted dresses, gowns, suits, HEELS. I often felt that she was influenced by Jackie Kennedy, for me the original style icon

It took her awhile to step into her own but if you take a look at her outfits before her marriage you definitely see her style. I think navigating Royal Duties, 80s fashion which could be down right awful, and just being so young at the time of her marriage might have set her back a year or two.

@@BethDjalali I agree that youth played a huge role in her 80s fashion, and her stylist did her no favors, with frumpy styles that swamped her. But once she found Gianni Versace and Ralph Lauren there was no stopping her and she had the height and physique to wear them all, and look stunning. It helped that she wasn't really tied to the Royal dress code once she and Charles separated, and the "revenge dress was a great start! ☘

Diana had a uniform, blazer button down shirt, jeans and loafers, her knee length skirt suits with heels. She knew how to rock classics, smart or casual.

I think Diana had a genius stylist and also I think the stylist loved her very much and dressed her with a lot of love.. I wish Kate had such a talented and loving stylist, we would see more creativity and variety in her clothes, she would be even more beautiful and would delight us with new styles and images.. Personally, I lack creativity in the work of Kate's stylist, everything is too monotonous for me.. Forgive me, but this is how I see it.. To make sure no one doubts, I love Kate very much ..
