I have been listening to your voice and your songs for 3 years, I am from Russia, when I heard it for the first time, I realized that you are the only one who performs like this.

Born in 1969.. im naturally a classic rock n metal guy... but thanks to diana krall i CANT BELIEVE HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS LIGHT JAZZ.... Ive got all her albums and live dvd's. Jazz has become 1 of my biggest joy finds ive ever found. Even thou most of the greats have been done over n over by many good artists but for me theres something so great in her voice, her expression n the way she says things for me is just so right on the money! N believe me... jazz is the last kinda music i thought id ever b able to get into. Even when i hear these great hits done by others... it just dont sound as good as when she does them. But man she is definitely 1 hell of a musician n i hope to see her live someday soon. She's playing south America at this very time... but someday.. Chicago.. St. Louis... Indianapolis... Midwest im all in! N ill be going alone unfortunately.... bc most like myself was so blind to such beautiful wounderful music as this soft slow jazz is.. n i love her faster numbers to but the slow love songs is where its at for me. She's 1 of my all time favorite discoveries!

I ❤❤ this song and I love the way Diana Krall sings it.

Besides Diana's insane voice and phrasing, besides the original tune by Hoagy, the true magic of this is Claus Ogerman's arrangement. It elevates this already magical tune to the sublime! Masterful!

Diana Krall - the Queen of any kind of music, any virtuoso pianist, any vocalist. The pain, the power, the memory in just one song of so many. listen to "Maybe You'll be there" will pull your heart thru your rib cage.

Diana Krall, Canadian jazz musician who achieved crossover success with her sultry, unforced contralto voice and her elegant piano playing. With her pre-bop piano style, cool but sensual singing, and fortuitously photogenic looks, Diana Krall took the jazz world by storm in the late '90s with her album When I Look in Your Eyes - an international best-seller and earned her a Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Performance. 2:02 [Britannica; Steinway & Sons]

Beautifully restrained and thus so emotional; no raucous and vulgar power notes here, just sublime--goosebumps.......

The more I listen to this rendition the more it gives the impression of being Krall's Requiem. I still believe the Nina Simone version is the gold standard portrayal of this song.

This was some night of music. What a lsuh delivery and knowing how to max out on orchestration with solo players at the top. This is the premier song for its mating with words and music rarely seen. Check out the base. Look at the arrangement. Then you have the French who know how to audience.

A very reasonable rendition of a great song, but check out the Sinatra live recording, if you ever doubted he was the greatest interpretrr of a lyric this is as good as it gets, flawless, moved me emotionally and credit to the Nelson Riddle arrangement,
