As a truck driver this dang song brought me to tears.Just like Teddy Bear did.The problem with trucking anymore is their are too many steering wheel holders anymore.And everyone wants to fight or you get the guys with home base radios that blast the air ways.

Truckers can be some of the sappiest tough guys you will ever meet! A ton of their music will be a feels song. Teddy Bear, Rose for Mama, Phantom 309, Little Joe, . . . There are also a bunch of happy songs or funny songs! I don't necessarily think of them as country songs, but I've enjoyed a bunch of them over the years!

I had forgotten about this follow up song to Teddy Bear! I always think about Little Joe and that version of what happened to Teddy Bear. Truckers and their sad songs, they can be some of the Sappiest tough guys! I think Roses For Mama needs to be the next "Feels" Trucker songs they listen to!

Yeah, tears! Thanks Stephen! Every time! I’m not listening to these kind of spoken word songs anymore! And I actually said, I would skip the reaction to this song. But of course I couldn’t. I was walking the dogs when I watched the reaction. At least nobody could see me cry in the middle of the woods. The racing video was awesome. Looks like a bunch of fun! Reaction was great too.

Don't feel bad....Teddy bear didn't actually die .lol . Red Sovine, who wrote and performed the original " Teddy Bear's Last Ride" , did a sequel to it a few years later called " Little Joe".

Back in the 70s & 80s there was a truck stop called Jarrells in Caroline Co VA. There was a club called Geraldines there where some pretty big country singers appaered. It's said that Alan Jackson wrote Don't Rock the Juke Box there. They had a radio station that broadcast all night with a DJ called Big John Trimble.

Nice reaction! Tears, knew it, waited til afternoon. The CB culture has gone to Hell in a handbasket. Some yrs ago, hubby and I were heading into VA from WVA, and I got a weather alert on Twitter. So I opened up my weather app, looked at the forecast, including some closures. They were expecting a heavy snow and Ice in a significant enough amount to close the roads and tunnel ( or at least the tunnel we were going to be using.) I got on the CB and did the weather report and perspective closings... and got propositioned like I was the last lot lizard in LA on Christmas Eve. But that shite happened almost every time I got on the CB.. except in some of the back water Bread Basket roads. Oh.. yeah, tunnel and roads over the mountain were both closed for 2ish days.

I think I remember that storm. I lived in CRW at the time. Seems like it was around 2005, give or take a couple of years. A friend of mine was stranded on the pike north of the first toll barrier for a long time. - Keith

@@BourbonCountryReacts I didnt start driving with hubby until 2011, so not that year.. But we worked for Melton in 2012/ 2013.. and when I picture it I see the blue Freightliner hood... The only other Blue truck was a Peterbilt and he refused to run north of 20 in the winter, but that was later anyway.

This song gets me every time. Great reaction. I miss the days of using the CB. My mom always had one in the truck when I was little. One night, when I was little, going from Phoenix to Flagstaff, we were caught in a white out. Literally couldn't see anything. A trucker in front of us directed us through on the CB. I don't remember all the details, as I was little. I just remember being terrified.

On CB Radio conversion, E logs, GPS, cellphones, and the Internet impacted the necessity of the CB. Especially now, you have instant communication with everyone, and you no longer need directions or help from the other truckers. When I was OTR I tried to hook up an old CB unit I had, but it was so old I never could get it working. I kept saying I was going to buy a new unit, but I never spent the money to get one.

My brother's are both owner operators and we all grew up in the country. They both had cb in their pickups so they could play hide and seek with their buddies.😂

I havent had that version of Rebel, but Ive had the very basic low proof Rebel and wasnt impressed. Very low proof and thin.

We've had the regular Rebel several times, and like it. But that's largely about quality for price point. We found the flavor to be "pretty good." Not great. Just good. We haven't found anything from Lux Row Distillers we don't like. - Keith
