I loved this, very interesting way of taming the curl, thanks for this. Stockinette has so much tension, each side is so different that they pull against each other. It is just the nature of the stitch but we continue to find ways to stop the inevitable curl! This is a fantastic boarder for those who only have a flat bed machine or if you would like to make a single layer piece that has some kind of a stockinette patterning, such as Fair Isle or even lace, with no additional add on boarder. Thanks Diana.

Я посмотрела несколько русских видео и научилась очень хорошей технике машинного вязания! Единственная разочаровывающая часть - это то, где вязальщица все объясняет и объясняет, и я знаю, что упускаю много информации.

This looks like the perfect centre front edging for a cardi I want to make. Now to figure out how to include buttonholes and shaping.

I just did my first swatch and learned to increase the stich and tried to do a v neck by following the instruction manual. But it was a little unclear. It said to take the middle needle away and swap the stitch onto the next needle and then deactive the right hand side of the v. Then it said to reduce each time but im not sure if it meant every time i go right to left and left to right or if i should only reduce every time i go right to left ...i did it that way and it looks unpleasant. Maybe i should have done a reduce stitch from lef tto right as well. It was confusing wording because the manual is 1950s an d the language is a bit odd. At the end i had to cast off the top and it said to make a loop with the running thread and pull it through and take off a stitch at a time but then at the end ive got a loop that comes out and has nowhere to go. I didnt know what to do so i put a safety pin in it. But maybe i did that the wrong direction and should have started at the other end. It curled up so much it was like a tube! Going to try again today with this method and make a cardigan for my teddy bear. 😂

Thank you very much for this interesting video. Your videos are so well explained and helpful! They have really helped me to make friends with my brother machine. Now I wonder if this is a good edging to hide a zipper in a cardigan. I think, i'll give it a try.
