I will add this edge to an inexpensive, purchased knitted cardigan to strengthen and give weight to the light-weight bands to elevate its look. Though I have knitted many whole garments, I use my machine to upgrade items. Love your videos!

This would make some great tops for knitted slippers. First one will decide how to go about shaping the edges of the body of the foot piece.

I got a comment, and am trying to answer that question. The person had their edging bend to the back. Make sure your picked-up stitches are close enough together. You want to avoid either gathering or stretching the blanket.

Do you start again on the edge stitches of that edging to do it on the next length? If not, how do you "go round the corner" please? TIA
@dianaknits2 жыл бұрын
When you get very close to the corner, start putting the clusters closer together. Crowd the clusters as you approach and crowed the next one or two as you go around. It curves around corners quite well in this way.

beautiful! how do I go around a corner for a rectangular blanket?
@dianaknits3 жыл бұрын
"Crowd" the edging as you approach a corner and just after you go past the corner, that is, pick up stitches closer together. It makes a smooth corner.

Can this edge use for a round blancket?
@dianaknits Жыл бұрын
Yes! Just keep an eye on the edging as it forms. If the clusters are too far apart, the edging will cup, so pick up a little more closely every few stitches. There isn't a set rule for this - it will depend on the size of the blanket, but it's pretty easy to do.
