They were married from 1960 to 1969. They had two daughters but sadly the older one (also named Diane) accidently drowned in 1962 at only 18 months of age. :-(

I'm sure there's some unspoken tension and issues here and there, EVERY family has them. But to see the 3 of them together, what a great gift. I have my personal favorites of the 3, but I don't think it's appropriate to get into it in this thread and *ALL* three of them, as individuals gave us all so much, Nice to see Lynch there too. Lynch has this weird "middle America energy" that makes people laugh~~~but in a totally respectful way,

My favourite Bruce Dern films: Family Plot, Silent Running, The Driver. (Three films where Bruce Dern actually plays sympathetic characters). Family Plot was his second Hitchcock role, being he had previously done an episode of The Alfred Hitchcock Hour.
