I do not understand the updated art work? What is it for? How does it impact the tournament?

I'm just guessing, but it seems clear to me at the end of the video that those are prizes you can win.. alternate art. How difficult or rare those will be is unclear. Also unclear if we'll maybe be able to just buy them separately some day. Still, it looks very cool, and this seems like a really interesting and innovative undertaking from Dice Throne.

That's my guess as well. The board is likely a prize to show that you won a tournament. In tcgs you'll regularly get a playmat with tournament winner stamp or something on it that makes it an exclusive product.

More info coming soon! But this is to tease our official Ranked Play. Across local stores and conventions, players will wrack up tournament points, collect seasonally themed swag, and climb leaderboards to become the Grand Champion!
