The thing to understand about The Bible is that one has to have enough sense to distinguish between metaphors and parables and what is to be taken as literal fact. The message behind some of the stories and life lessons are what is to be taken as fact. But so many people are taught a literal interpretation, and most people know only what they are told.

Evidently “you”. The book was created to suit the (selfish) narrative for a particular group of people, so as to convince another group(s) of people how to react to the writings…mind control.
@Themaddprof11 ай бұрын
@@csharpbnatural If you study the life and teachings of people such as Denmark Vesey, Mariah W. Stewart, Nat Turner, David Walker, Bishop Henry McNeal Turner, and even (to an extent) Marcus Garvey, these men and women used The Bible as a tool of liberation and a source of inspiration for Slave Rebellions as well as freedom movements afterwards. I said at the end of my post that "most people know only what they are told." Many people were taught a version of The Bible that encouraged docility during and after slavery. The people I just mentioned saw past that, read for themselves, and drew the messages of liberation (Exodus 21:16, Revelation 13:10, etc) that were not taught to the average person.

By the way, it was silly and rather dumb for god to get all bent out of shape about what Eve did....being an allegedly all-powerful / all knowing god...he put the tree there, he knew there was a talking snake that would tempt Eve and knew in advance that Adam & Eve would both eat a forbidden fruit from a forbidden tree in a garden he designed in the first place, so for this god to be THAT disappointed, to punish in any way, and cause future generations who did nothing wrong to be affected by this "sin" when he in fact created the entire scenario...knowing its outcome well in advance, makes your god look like a complete idiot. I'll pass on worshiping that level of stupidity and manipulation.

Just say fir instance, you figure it out, could you change it. NO, BECAUSE IT'S ALREADY DONE. What everybody should be focusing on is being grateful for having a life to live, eat, drink, reproduce and be happy. These are four purposes in this world that I know and everyone else should also know with a sane mind. There might be more purposes but these are the ones I understand. Our Mysterious, Miraculous Creator knows any & all purposes of all creations, we don't. So quit tripping so hard on what people say & what you read. Well preacher it's quite defeatable and laced with all sorts of problems and claims that lack evidence. It sounds like you're claiming that the bible is the evidence because it says so...THAT is a circular argument which is a fallacy. Biology can easily demonstrate that two people could not have populated the earth....that's a lot of inbreeding courtesy of a lot of incest which is not only a huge biological issue, but it's very gross conduct, however i must digress. You have zero evidence to prove the existence of Adam let alone prove he lived for 8 centuries.... was Adam a frakking vampire? If the bible was "undefeated" (what does that even mean?) then it would be THE book on the planet but yet it isn't....we also have the Vedas, the Koran...and whatever the hell the Mormons accept as additional texts courtesy of something "found" by Joseph Smith...and of course Buddhist texts, so I'm happy to inform you that it's far from undefeated on planet earth, it's quite fallible if one thinks critically...and not like an indoctrinated meatball. Now....try again and this time put some effort into your argument for cryin' out loud....
