the problem with this kind of situation is that, rather than being united to fight this kind of refereeing that ruins the game for everyone, rival fans are influenced by football tribalism to support adverse decision that go against their rivals. we all lose including those who gaslight everyone here because as long as this kind of thing isn't stamped out there is nothing that will prevent it affecting the you support sooner or later

I think we need to start normalising the fact that similar fouls should be treated in different ways based on the context of the game, position of the foul, time of the match, player committing the foul etc. You can take long for a set piece in minute 5 and not be penalised compared to 90. If you’ve given a team warnings about fouling a particular player. The next foul could be a booking regardless of the fact that others were worse cuz a warning was given etc. Refrees should be able to give different decisions. The game is too subjective. There’s not always a perfectly agreeable solution.

Rice should have just joke slammed veltman, grabbed his arse, clothes lined him, elbowed him in the head, then tried a two footer, that way he would have stayed on the pitch, because all of these are perfectly ok, but nudging a moving ball that would have been hoofed down the field then brought back has 'stopped the flow of the game'. But also by the letter of the law was taken from the wrong place to. Two tier refereeing. Had the pedro one been a booking prior, unlikely rice does what he does as it's in the back of his head. We then saw it in every game after and no bookings.

How can it be a quick free kick when the ball is still on motion
@arsenesson80332 ай бұрын
First off it was a really soft foul on Veltman but sure whatever. Secondly Veltman touches the ball with his foot so ”by the letter of the law” the ball should’ve been in play. Thirdly the ball rolls in to Rice so he nudges it. And lastly the ball was still rolling while Veltman started swinging and even if the ball was there he would’ve kicked Rice. I hate when teams are kicking the ball away/keeping it when the opposition has a foul. I don’t believe that it should be a yellow but if it is then we should start by penalizing clear time wasting instead. If that is a foul by Rice, then I expect to see this enforced every game. Because so many people want to use the "letter of the law" arguments, then Joao Pedro should have have gotten a yellow too. You can see him intentionally roll the ball towards Rice, then wack him, the ball was also too far from the foul spot, it was still moving, Rice was way too close and in the way, so by the letter of the law "free kick" was never even valid, as it would have had to been retaken.
