Also the problem is that man city doesn't have proper replacement for Rodri. Kovacic can't do the job of Rodri and there is no player who is similar to Rodri. The result doesn't reflect the game. Aston Villa had 2 stonewall penalties inexplicably not given especially the Connor Bradley pull on Pau Torres at the end. Liverpool had a lot of possession but were not incisive enough with that possession. The possession meant Liverpool had control in the game but it was a fairly even game. Liverpool and Aston Villa had a similar number of total shots and shots on target in the game indicating how close it was. Impressive how Liverpool are able to weather the storm & pull through the result but the ref and VAR team had a MARE!! There are parts in the game where Liverpool are vulnerable but an opposition team hasn't taken advantage of it yet. They are currently the PL favorites. There are gears that Liverpool can go up to which should worry Arsenal and City.

While I do agree with some of the points, let's not forget there are still 27 games left in the league. I didn't expect us to challenge for the league before the season started and now we should be there, but to say we NEED to win it after 11 games is a bit much. Let's say by the end of January we are ahead 7-8 points at least, then ok, I'll concede, it would be a big bottle if we don't win it. Right now, I can't say that, we can't get ahead of ourselves. There have been better Liverpool teams in the last 6-7 years that haven't won the league and maybe that's because City were also much better than they are right now, but we can't underestimate them ever. Hot take for you, Arne Slot has way less to do with Liverpools form than people make it out to be. I honestly think Klopp assembled a great squad and they've just built up chemistry, less crucial injuries especially Konate and ofc a few tweaks in the lineup. Klopps Liverpool had to come from behind far too often but they had an AMAZING first season with a whole new squad, got scammed out of a goal against newcastle in the var era, how? and should've had clear penalities, one each against their direct competitiors in City(late kick to stomach) and Arsenal(Odegaard dribbling the ball like point guard), both were way better last season obv. Liverpool "ran out of gas" but lost one more game than city and less games than Arsenal. The whole circus around Klopp tainted or warped it imo because they didn't get the fairytale farewell happy end but never forget Endo absolutely dogwalked KDB in that one game to the point of Pep deciding to pull him early early...in the 59th minute or so haha cheers
