Surprise, surprise: CS:GO fans are pissed at cadiaN again.
Why? Because he dared to talk shit in an esport where everyone talks sh*t.
The difference is that he directed it against a roster that not everyone feels is deserving of such sh*t-talk.
So, let’s talk about it: did cadiaN cross a line and, if so, why?

I didn't like how he targeted the Mongolz team because they "didn't greet him" as everyone else supposedly does, and that's why he was doing more than usual when it came to the banter. Why bring an outside issue into the game and then after you get called out for it try to play it off as the issue being him and always getting hate rather than his actions.

I think what Cadian did was more of a wrong place and time kind of situation. What he said and did wasn't necessarily bad but it was in bad taste considering the banter was extremely one-sided and it made the atmosphere awkward rather than tense or hype like regular banter. Also, his post-match explanation as to why he did it to the Mongolz team was weird.

Don't understand what all the commotion is all about. I actually like the fire and flair he brings to the game. Not to mention he's a great player and a great analyst whenever he's on the panel.

Trash talking = screaming your lungs out, across the room, like a 12 year old? Nothing wrong with a little trash talk pre-game. But this instance makes the professional scene look like a complete joke compared to other sports.

I said this when Sentinels were shooting bodies the entire round in Valorant, and everyone was saying it was the best to build rivalry when it was just cringe childish shit, 2 teams being the best of the best is what build rivalries. Monesy and Device was a good example of great sportsmanship and rivalry.

I don't know if I'm in the minority but I love trash talk at the pro level and in my games. Whenever an enemy or teammate starts talking trash it becomes more than just another pug cause I want to shut them up. For pros I think it adds some needed flavor to the eSports viewing experience, it creates rivalries and heels making things more interesting.

The main issue I take with this is his skill. He's trash talking like this to a team ranked #30 in the world while they're ranked #1, and it took them double OT to not get 2-0'd. Then you look at games like the one they lost to Astralis and you see him completely silent. They also fail to win almost anything, so I don't know why he acts like he's the best player in the world when trash talking. Just overall very tasteless in my opinion.

Literally just played a game of Arena, where a pair of an Annie and an Ivern, trash talked after every single round they won... So pathetic, especially with that comp.

It's streamed live for a reason, its a show. Would you like to see pros play the way you do at home? You sit down, queue up ranked, and if you win a game you just get back in queue. So are they supposed to go up on stage, play the game, and then just get up and leave?

Me and my mates tend to meet people who writes "EZ" in all-chat every round, and our rule is "Don't say anything". When they start loosing, they mostly claim us for cheating or they suddenly become real quiet. If we win, we allow ourselves to write "gg ez" at the end to let them know that shutting up and be humble might get you further, both in games and life. But anyways, if you get destroyed, be humble and write "ggwp" at least. You get nothing out of shit talking.

Trash talking in sports has been around since the inception of sports. Pride and ego play a big factor which for me as a spectator make it all the more enjoyable to watch :3
